I don’t always participate but I do read them. I sure can’t start it. I don’t know the names of the episodes. The D&D Sexploitation? Nope, that’s not a word. Or maybe my Searchfu is failing me.
Gate kissing. The aforementioned D&D sex. That game that looked really boring even with all the impersonations. What did you guys think?
I agree. I’m unsure if the laugh track was necessary, but it was nice to see Sheldon show that he is at least listening to, if not understanding, where Amy would like to see things go.
In one of the other Big Bang Theory threads, someone mentioned that the characters in this show overdress for Southern California. So I was paying attention tonight and in particular noticed the layers that Leonard was wearing and the sweater that AFF was wearing. How cold does it get in the LA area at night, even in winter? It did look like they’d be too hot in those clothes.
(The funny thing is that other shows set in the colder parts of the country never portray the characters in winter gear. For example, I didn’t watch all of Dawson’s Creek, but I saw some episodes and I never saw a New England winter in the show.)
(Edited to add that this recap from The Onion AV Club has a nice photo showing all of the characters.)
What disappointed me was how easy the girls gave up on Las Vegas. The Strip is only 4 hours or so from the Burbank airport. They would have gotten there maybe an hour later than they would have by plane. They also lost the money for the hotel rooms, which Penny can ill afford.
Pasadena can get pretty chilly at night in the winter. Not cold, like the Northeast, but it can dip into the 30s, usually the 40s in winter. In the summer, however, it can get brutally hot (100+ for a week a couple of times a summer) and I don’t think that has ever been reflected in the show.
BTW, I have a feeling I am in a minority, but I cannot stand Raj’s girlfriend. More specifically, I cannot stand the actress because I think she cannot act. It sounds like she is giving punchlines on every line.
I love her, both the actress and the character. She’s obviously . . . I think the word I’d use is “quirky,” and I want to see her interacting with the other ladies. (And I hope Penny’s bathroom window has a fire escape.)
