How about this post from an earlier thread on the “The Septum Deviation” episode.

Leonard snores? Since when? Penny snores, not Leonard.
Season 3, episode 14, The Einstein Approximation.
"Sheldon: … Oh, by the way, I was watching you sleep for a moment, and I noticed that your snoring seems to be worse when you’re on your back.
Penny: Leonard doesn’t snore.
Sheldon: No, I wasn’t talking to Leonard.
Leonard: Told you."
It also isn’t a recent development. Sheldon says it bothered him for the first 5 or 6 years but he’s gotten used to it. So it definitely predates the earlier episode.
Writers and continuity. There oughta be a law.

I did notice, during the makeout session on the couch, that Sheldon was diving in for more smacking after the whole “Should I watch The Flash” bit. I think that’s a bit of an advance, unless he was trying to fill some quota for kissing before he could stop.
I think if Sheldon ever did have sex,he would be the most selfish lover ever… Everything else is all about how it affects him,so sex should be the same,no consideration for his partner.
Not having the app the guys were working on to identify equations a few seasons ago, can anyone tell me what the equation at the bottom of Mr. Lorre’s vanity card was all about?
Sorry I’m late. There hasn’t been much time for TV lately, but I finally watched it this morning. WHAT a disappointment!!
I agree that they seem to be heading this way, but I also really hope they don’t. It would turn out just like on HIMYM, when Lily’s Dad was caring for the child. That was miserable.
Yep. This. I really hated it. I’d been waiting all season for something, anything to finally happen, and hoping for the finale to move something forward, and then all it did was set up for next year. Not one story line felt in any way satisfying or resolved this entire season. The episodes themselves even feel shorter.
I can’t think of anything this season which set up Sheldon to have grown to the point that he is ready to commit. There wasn’t even an indication that he’s begun to enjoy kissing for its own sake, although that seemed to be the case in this one. He hasn’t developed desire, and I certainly hope that Amy will not settle for a life where she doesn’t feel desired.
TBBT has a history of not actually showing us the things we want to see most. The plot just picks up again in Autumn, with this or that cliffhanger mysteriously resolved by a throwaway line about something we didn’t get to see. I have ceased to feel any anticipation about it at all.
It just seems like the show has devolved into being just one teaser trailer after another.
She has a cat playing with mouse quality about her. Sometimes seeming to enjoy skirting the edge of cruelty.
On the other hand, being faced with a hopelessly passive partner, maybe she is trying to force him to confront and state his preferences. Is she getting off on the power trip or daring/inciting him to man up and be a real partner? I’m still intrigued, but sliding into intrigue fatigue.
This bothered me too. He’s more comfortable with kissing, and he did tell Amy he loved her, but it was in a darling, matter of fact, Sheldonesque way. The engagement ring seemed to come out of left field. I can understand Amy getting sick of the situation, but everything out Sheldon is structured and methodical. The ring seemed out of character.
It is too obvious that Amy and Sheldon are not going to break up to make this a cliff-hanger. It’s just audience manipulation.
It seems like they have gone as far as they can with the current relationships. No good thing lasts forever, but I am wondering if they might want to end the series next season once and for all. They won’t, but they should. The network execs will milk this thing to death and way beyond.
In a way, to me, it didn’t. The one thing Sheldon is really good at is methodical thought–examining a situation from all angles to pick the best course of action. Maybe when he had some time to think about it, he realized that he really does love Amy (in his way–I’m not sure he really understands all the implications) and that she’s likely the best chance he’s got at a relationship. He may have simply decided that if he wants to keep her around, marrying her is the next logical step in the process.
Whether this is best for Amy, on the other hand, is another matter entirely. I’m not sure it is, unless Sheldon can show more emotional growth than he has in the entire series.
I do think it will be interesting if Amy and Sheldon end up getting married and Penny and Leonard don’t, though that could pose a problem if L and P break up (where would Leonard live?)
I would date Emily in a heartbeat–I don’t see her as creepy, just adventurous and spontaneous. She deserves better than Raj.
Ditto Amy, and I’m glad she gave Sheldon the boot. As a comic foil, he has his moments but as a person, he’s insufferable and as MrAtoz said, would make a terrible husband. I don’t feel bad for him an iota for having his proposal cut short. He’s not remotely ready to give Amy what she needs.
I don’t think Leonard was trying to passively-agressively sabotage the wedding. I think his sense of guilt and propriety took over. But Penny’s overreaction was pretty ridiculous.
I don’t have a lot of sympathy for Howard and Bernadette at this point, re: the Stewart situation. I like her still but she also deserves better and I’m cheering for their houseguest to stay on as long as possible.
I don’t think Bernadette “deserves” better. She’s every bit as flawed as Howard, and the two of them are perfect for each other, IMO. She’s a dominant personality like Howard’s mother, which he seems to need and thrive under. He has toned down a lot of his skeevy characteristics since he got married, and seems to be a loyal, loving husband (albeit still a man-child, but all the guys are that way to some extent).
I too would like to see Stuart remain as their houseguest–it’s weird, I don’t particularly like him as a character, but he plays well opposite the main cast.
I’m still holding on to my pet theory…after Sheldon and Amy’s honeymoon night, he wakes up with all sorts of insights and ideas on physics. I think the psychic said as much to him (when Penny dragged him to see her.)
