What I am trying to say is that in order to fully rant, you can’t hold back. Where’s the catharsis if you have to hold in a little bit of the anger?

Its mainly the cynical belief that me fully venting will offend the moderators in some silly way, causing me to get banned. Its not about voilating the specific guidelines outlined in the sticky.

There are probably a lot of angry posters out there, and unfortunately I am looking through a screen of sorts when I see them rant. I suppose I’m the only one really bothered by that.

Incubus, the truly dangerous and insanely angry SDMB members rarely use the Pit for relief. The Pit is mainly for otherwise nice people who are a bit cranky for whatever reason, or who are chronic drama kings and queens. The people that would kill and maim you with nary a second thought other than making sure the job was done in an efficient fashion are in GD and GQ and stay there for the most part.

Actually, I’ve seen that many of the darkest and most vile posters have their start in the Comments on Cecil’s Columns forum, the place where the righteous dare not tread.

I did once. I clicked the Forum Jump arrow and found a forum I had never heard of. I went there and found the craziest posts. Written by some of the craziest people. I’m nearly certain he’s correct. There is indeed a moderators only forum (actually several) that is used to move posts to that you don’t really need the general board population seeing, but need to await further review.
