Whatever happend to the boy that was caned? (I think in Singapore) for graffiti. He was caned in public with his pants down. He was a US Citizen

He has found a career posting pointless and vague questions to Internet sites.
He wasn’t caned in public. It was behind in private, behind closed doors, and away from the public eye. As for his whereabouts? He’s probably in back Singapore spitting gum on the sidewalk.
From what I’ve heard, and mind you this is without going out to verify any of this…
After getting back into the states, he bummed around, doing school and sponging off the parents, until the time came for this societal dreg to undergo drug rehab… seems that he had picked up a nasty painkiller addiction, stemming from the “chronic pain and discomfort” from his caning.
I’m all for it.
Since such time, he has dropped out of the public eye.

If you ever play Shadow Warrior from 3D Realms, there’s a secret area you can get into on one of the early levels that has a TV showing this a motion graphic of this kid getting caned. The game came out right around the time of the caning. I laughed my ass off (no pun intended) when I saw it the first time.
