Maybe. I don’t understand why people would quit watching, just because Tate was in custody.
I didn’t watch for Tate and I thought/hoped the other characters were interesting enough to keep people watching.
A lot happened in those final two episodes.

From the bits I’ve read here it seems not too much of the original is left but the reaction to this character - ‘Saga’ in the original - is most definitely familiar. She leaves an impression, that’s for sure.
It’s interesting to contrast this view with three or four comments made about her on the first page of this thread after the first episode aired.
Once the mystery and all the connections were resolved/explained and it became your standard stop the the crazy guy show i did lose interest. Not sure about next season either, the only question is who is the american guy working with the juarez cops.
That’s not the only question.
Timothy Bottoms’ character. How long until he replaces Ray-Ray?
Daniela is missing. The Beast is still out there.
Millions in cartel money – including euros – why euros? – in the dead woman’s house.
On the soap side, will Alma come back to Marco? Will we ever see Hank’s wife? How will Eva react to Linder’s proposal (assuming he’s thoughtless enough to continue pursuing her).
I just got around to watching the finale. Wow, was that underwhelming!
Like someone posted a couple of pages ago, this show has all the elements of a good show (some great characters, actors, settings) but somehow just can’t put them together. It’s a mess.
What was the point of Lyle Lovett showing up again after seven episodes MIA? Pointless. Linder pursuing the rape victim? Super-creepy, as always. Tate? He’s such a cartoon I don’t even care if Marco kills him.
If I were the show runner, I’d drop the tunnel/Ray-Ray/Charlotte storyline like a bag of garbage. Ditto Linder. I was waiting all season for his character to have a purpose, to go somewhere, and I’m left just as confused as the first time I heard his moronic mumble talk. WTF is this guy and why do I care? I don’t.
It’s a shame because I love the Captain/Sonja/Marco interactions and even don’t mind Matthew Lillard and the reporter storyline. I don’t think I’ll make it through the next season, especially if it’s Tate or Charlotte heavy. Blurgh.
He’s unique and I like him. I’m interested to see Eva’s reaction when she wakes up and there he is, again.
His purpose is to find his sister – which he most assuredly won’t – and to rescue women from pimps and killers. ![]()
In case you can’t get enough of this, the third version is now showing; a Franco-British version. The sharp will have noticed the absence of a bridge, which is now replaced by the Channel Tunnel. The first five mintes is here - really nice couple of leads, top actors:
