“The” Hello Again passed on in 2004. I consider my username as her memorial, and she was an infernal know-it-all so it’s ever so fitting that “she” hangs around here.
I am sorry for your loss.
I had to put down my Cassie Girl at the end of last year and I still miss her. She made it to 16 which was a very long life for a dog her size.
I can understand not wanting another dog right away. You could try fostering though. It is a great way to help unwanted shelter dogs get accustomed to living in a home and makes them more adoptable.
You may even fall in love with one and decide to adopt it yourself
