You’re probably right, the airport is pretty secure. But I’d rather have 100% certainty than 99.99%.
I have no doubt that the feds knew perfectly well who he was and deliberately allowed him to fly. He would have had to voluntarily disarm himself in order to board (or subject himself to weapons charges if he did not). They may have decided it was better to arrest him on arrival in Portland rather than on his home turf in Nevada. Apparently he was accompanied by a “bodyguard” who was not arrested.
When I said “It’s a trap!” it wasn’t entirely a joke. But these guys all seem to have the smarts of a developmentally-delayed prairie dog.

The beauty of it is that any of them convicted of felonies for their activities will never have the right to own guns again.
And I’ll put down $100 saying every damned one of them will be arrested on weapons charges within the next 10 years, claiming they still have the right to bear arms and it cannot be infringed.
