The Bundys are at it again.

The land belongs to the people of the United States of America in accordance with the terms of the Oregon Treaty, and said ownership is administered on their behalf by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service.

That is not a belief. It is fact.

You are entitled to your own beliefs. You are not entitled to your own facts. The facts are what they are and they will not change based on your willingness to accept them.

Stop. Step away from the debate class podium.

“They laughed at Columbus, they laughed at Fulton, they laughed at the Wright brothers. But they also laughed at Bozo the Clown.”

Have you watched the video? What did you see when you watched the video?

Yes and I’ve already made comment to what I saw on the video. Flash bangs, several stray rounds hitting the ground, agents in a cross fire among themselves. A witness in the van said Levoy was shot in the hip. Maybe this gave agents cause to believe he was going for his weapon, I don’t know. Again* I don’t know** I was not there. However initial reports from agents stated there were only 3 shots fired. False *

As noted, NO the situation at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge had nothing to do with grazing fees;

*OK, so grazing fees were paid up to date?

**The stated reason for the armed occupation changed often, but the fact is that armed people took over a government facility and threatened to shoot anyone who tried to remove them. That is against the law.
**

Not a question but based on this comment our founding fathers started this practice, I guess the Bundys followed suit and did not have the same luck.

Is there any factual basis for your belief? If you know where this is happening, feel free to alert law enforcement and/or the agency responsible for the land.

*There are several news reports of hikers finding illegal grow operations in the Cali forest. If you want to know more about this watch the documentary “A journey into the Emerald Triangle”
*

**There are no desert tortoises in or near Burns, Oregon and/or the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge ; you are badly misinformed. You have no idea what you are talking about. You appear to have conflated events that happened in and near Bunkerville, Nevada in April of 2014 with events that happened in and near Burns, Oregon in 2016.
**

OK. My point is the events are linked and when i first heard of this conflict going down, the issue was the dessert tortoise.

So you did see the video of LaVoy Finicum driving his vehicle directly at law enforcement officers, swerving at the last moment to avoid them and ending up stalled in a snowbank, did see him exit the vehicle, did see him reach towards something in his jacket?

  • Yes*

** And did see law enforcement officers shoot him?**

yes

**And did hear that the reason they shot him was because they thought that he was reaching for a weapon, which they subsequently did find on his person? **

*Yes, and I have not heard any info on the weapon. Was it Levoy’s? Someone on a different board mentioned it was not his and that the weapon was stolen from Cali but that is just hear say from a third party.
*
**
If you saw all that, why are you mischaracterizing the events and the people involved?

I could ask you the same question

There ya go man:rolleyes:

I’m not sure what video you watched, but it wasn’t the one in which Lavoy Finicum was shot, because nothing you have said here correlates to that footage.

What grazing fees? The Malheur refuge is not grazing land. Nobody is grazing there or paying for rights to graze there.

Levoy’s shooting report out. Lots of fuel for the CTers and our new friend Jerry but no actual change to the events.

In short, shooting was justified on the evidence. OSP did the shooting.

For the kooks: FBI didn’t report two shots that it took at the vehicle (not the magical 109 shots) and Levoy was shot in the back.

The home page of OregonLive has a new video filmed by the occupants of LaVoy’s truck during the attempted escape and shooting.

It’s unfortunately a little worse than just not reporting the shots. The two shots from the FBI happened right as LaVoy was getting out of the truck (one broke the passenger window and one went wild). There doesn’t appear to be justification for those shots.

The OSP took three shots as the truck at it barreled toward the roadblock, then three shots at LaVoy when he reached for his gun. Those six were all ruled to be justified.

And the video from the cell phones of the perps inside the truck show that both Shawna Cox and Victoria Sharp have told many, many, many lies about what actually happened.

Plus, Cox herself is party responsible, as she told Finicum directly to “Go, Gun it” and encouraged him to run from the first police stop.
At that point, Bundy says “where’s the guns?”

Audio from the cellphone clearly shows that Finicum was not going to be taken alive. When he exits the truck, he shouts for the police to shoot him. Not once, not twice, but three times.

Video clearly shows him going for his gun.

Two different officers shot him the THIRD time he went for his gun, as it looked like he was going to shoot a third officer armed only with a Taser. They saved this officer’s life.

Here’s a comparison of many of the claims they and others made versus the reality of what really happened.

Finicum’s wife still claims he was shot in the hip with his hands up. Unreal.

An amazing display of what happens when people get wrapped up in their own little world and totally lose perspective.

Not only was it “hear say,” it was patently false. It was made up by a website trolling the militia. They took a snapshot of a trusted militia woman’s facebook and changed the words to say that the weapon was reported stolen, but when people went to her facebook page, they saw that she never said that and she later confirmed she never said it.

OPB has a slideshow of photos from the shooting. Shows photo of Finicum’s body with a pistol in his pocket, shows the pistol and serial number, shows interior of vehicle and other weapons. Have fun.

One thing that stands out to me in Cox’s video from inside the truck is that several minutes after Finicum was shot, the people inside the truck were unsure if he was shot or not. This proves their statements that they actually saw him get shot to be a lie.

Weird. Roy Warden, the guy who organized the Tuscon Finicum rally is a bit upset with the patriots. Long story short, according to him, Finicum was an ignorant, violent, rage filled, criminal who should have been arrested instead of gunned down in cold blooded murder, and the “patriots” who support him are ignorant, whiny, red necked, cult worshiping hicks who don’t know anything about the Constitution.

He… he actually makes more sense than the patriots.

Don’t look back—you can never look back.

“Please God, please protect us. Please please protect us.”

Yeah, because God did such a good job protecting LaVoy just a minute beforehand, that’s who you want covering your back.

So is there an actual report available, or was it just a press conference?

Well Lavoy didn’t pray and he got shot. But the girls prayed and their god saved them by finding a way for them to surrender unharmed. It’s all their deity’s work. If they hadn’t prayed they would have been shot. Prove me wrong.

I don’t think there’s a report yet but everything available so far is here.

Well yeah, He did harmlessly deflect the more than 100 bullets fired from close range by LEOs.
