Circle back to this part of the thread to review the discussion on Sov Cit squatting. It is not a pretty subject.
The bible on sov cit from north of 49 degrees: Meads v. Meads. http://www.canlii.org/en/ab/abqb/doc/2012/2012abqb571/2012abqb571.html
Ammon Bundy is slipping further and further into sovereign citizen expressions. For the Thursday court session, he appeared in blue jail scrubs because, he says, he is “… a political prisoner not free to dress as if presumed innocent.”
As an aside, since when is “I have no comment” a response to a judge’s question? Is that an acceptable response?
He’s not displaying Ryan’s level of insanity, but the facade is steadily crumbling.
The guys are slowly losing their last shreds of mental balance in stir because they are denied a basic human right,
Being blue-shelled is a serious handicap.
Another nice story from the SovCit front: 36 leaders in Idaho III% have resigned from the group because $2900 in donations were spent on toys and car accessories instead of being delivered to the legal defense funds of members on trial for the Cliven Bundy dustup.
One begins to understand why these people are so adamant about the cause. They just cannot handle money or manage their lives. They need help, not more freedom.
Almost $300for equipment to make his truck “roll coal”. What a maroon.
I would guess that this was the first time he had access to an account with four figures. He saw that comma and figured that must mean a million dollars.
Scum screwed by fellow scum. Most hilarious is the last three words of their resignation letter quoted below…
Bolding mine
So Ammon is testifyingnow.
Since we’re all entitled to our own interpretation of the Constitution, I’ll go with mine: Religious nuts should go do prison.
It’s too bad that the judge didn’t let him quote the Mormon scripture. I would have loved to see which of the nutty parts he was going to cite.
someone should seize and occupy his head: it really needs improving
Imagine for half a second that these chucklefucks actually had won the day and the refuge was turned back over to the locals and sold.
Today we’d have these same angry assholes marching around in Yosemite or Yellowstone or at the Redwoods, blocking access, intimidating and driving away tourists all in the name of allowing rich fuckers to completely destroy our national park system in the name of the almighty dollar.
Assholes would probably be dumping their waste in Old Faithful.
I can’t think of anything in the Constitution that even comes close to saying this.
Now you’ve done it. If you say anything three times in the mirror about destroying national parks, our resident troll appears to trash the thread.
I think it’s in a footnote on page 7 of their Pokkit Constitushun.
On the plus side, if I go into their house and hang a picture up, I guess it’s my house, now.
Or trash the place and leave casings everywhere. Improvement!
They trashed the offices, dug some trenches, and literally shit all over the place. Does he have a pocket dictionary so he can look up the word “improve”?
Like many such patriots, their definition of “improve” is that they get to do whatever the fuck they want with it. It’s a stirring vision of American greatness.
So we all agree that after the occupation, there were more trenches than prior to the occupation? Clearly they improved the number of trenches present; case closed. </gavel>
At this point I think “the Constitution” is to these people more of a mental construct than an actual document. It’s the vibe. It’s the overall feeling. It’s the broad tenor of the thing. Their views have a certain Constitutioniness to them.
