My concern with that idea is that one of them might be crazy enough to shoot someone; or might accidentally shoot someone, perhaps in an attempt to scare them away.

I’m half-expecting that the first casualty among the militia will be from “friendly fire” when one heavily armed idiot mistakes another heavily armed idiot for the authorities.

They wouldn’t even need something that sophisticated. I’m pretty sure that they have remote controlled units with wheels or treads.
I’m not sure though if something like that could do much beyond observation. Could it legally shoot people who aren’t an immediate threat to a human or humans? In warfare, certainly, but in domestic situations like this?
Maybe sending in some kind of armed robotic unit could frighten them into putting down their arms and surrendering. It depends on just how suicidal they really are.
If they get some tampons donated they can use one of those.
Tampons are perfect for large caliber gunshot wounds.

Looks like the yahoos are getting frustrated with the lack of attention from the feds. They removed a fence today to allow access for a nearby rancher so he can graze his cattle on the preserve.
On the bright side, it makes it less likely they’ll be able to walk away with no repercussions.

A fence that cost $100,000 has been destroyed by Bundy so that his cattle can go in and illegally graze on preserved lands and there’s zero response from law enforcement. The electricity is on, the water is running, and now the cattle can be fed…to hell with environmental impact. Why? Because of some idea that denying them attention is better than enforcing the law.
I guess I’m the only one in this thread who doubts anything is going to happen to these guys.
