The Bundys are at it again.

Now that’s funny!

Well, that makes it official: Dicks are Off the Table…!

YallQaeda has Spoken. :stuck_out_tongue:

With love, a bag of dicks.

The People

According to some of these yoyos, the county sheriff is the highest-ranking official in the Land of the Formerly Free and Home of the Some of Us Brave™. Not sure where a county judge fits in, but if he were working with the sheriff he would theoretically be immune. Not that that would stop them: when it comes to twisted logic they make a Möbius strip look like a topographical map of Flatland.

What a lovely story.

By “enemy” he means “Muslims”.

So, The Smiths, Morrissey, and Joy Division, then?

That would work on everyone except possibly Fluffy Unicorn, who would just turn scene.

Luxury! Better would be Tom Jones “What’s New, Pussycat?” played over and over without interruption.

As this guy did in a diner:

(supposedly- it’s a standup story)

Cattle ranchers. So… Groundhog skulls and Budweiser?

I’m not understanding the fines they have given him. Doesn’t his family already owe $1mil in grazing fees they have adamantly refused to pay? What’s the reasoning there?

And it’s also confusing why they are basically allowing them to take down the fence and graze cattle in the refuge? Isn’t it federal land? I mean they acted when they set a fire, why not now? How are the two events not effectively the same? Destroying preserved and protected federal lands?

I get that they don’t want to give them legitimacy, provoke another disastrous confrontation, as we’ve seen in the past. But, at what point is enough, enough?

Don’t the Feds have tear gas? Why haven’t they cut communications, blocked roads or used any number of other tactics that they train for?

The longer it goes on the more confusing it seems. They don’t want reinforcement bubbas coming in, but at some point aren’t other bubbas just going to start doing similar shit as it appears without consequences?

What will they do if another bunch invade another preserve today? More nothing? Then they’d have twice the problems!

Very confusing indeed!

“Why don’t feds try to oust Oregon occupiers?” from the Oregonian today. It basically boils down to not being worth it to provoke the militants.
The circumstances surrounding the refuge takeover haven’t really changed that much in the past week and a half: No violence has occurred. No immediate public safety threat exists. The refuge remains isolated. So, the FBI doesn’t want to take an action that could incite the occupiers.

“If you deny access and have to put a road block up and set up a perimeter, you know what that costs a day? Millions of dollars. And what do you accomplish? You’ll likely raise the tension for something that’s not going to help you.”

“Why create the confrontation? You try to prevent giving people what they want. And what they want is the image of an overbearing federal government using weaponry and power against people trying to make points about land ownership.”
It’s not really satisfying from my perspective, but I get the reasoning.

Why bother levying fines, if they know they won’t pay, and the government won’t pursue it?

Why bother denying them grazing access, in the first place, if you are just going to let them do what they want in the end?

If avoidance is the game plan, why not just open the door and let them graze the refuge when they asked? That way the entire thing could have been avoided!

Still pretty confusing, I think.

I suppose. But it can’t be that hard to block off access to that building. Prevent supplies coming in. Hunger is a great motivator.

That’s the reasoning I’ve assumed they are using. No surprise there.

This just shows how dumb they are. If you don’t appreciate receiving bags of dicks, don’t make a video saying “we don’t appreciate receiving bags of dicks”!

You’ll get 10 times as many bags of dicks you dumb-asses!

Eventually they kicked OWS out of the parks. Will the same happen here?

So you park a few police cruisers across the road to the building. Now some guy just drives around it in his 4W drive (this is high desert country where off-roading isn’t too difficult). What do you do? Ram him? Shoot out his tires? You can’t simply block access without being ready to escalate the situation.

It’s not about that Oregon refuge. It’s about all Federal land. The Bundys want the Feds to give up all lands to the states. And it appears the States don’t want it (too costly to maintain). The Bundys seem to think that if all Federal land was given to the States they could pick it up at nearly no cost.

Of course this land is also all the publics land. And it would set a horrible president to give it away to ranchers that are already getting one hell of a deal to graze it.

I live next to National Forest. Anyone can walk this land, drive on approved trails, camp and hunt. You can’t put up fences or structures or log it. That’s a good thing.

Ranchers are given one hell of a deal to have their cattle graze public land ,but they want it for themselves. The takeover of the wildlife refuge just shows how out of touch they are.

When one of them drives into town, boot his truck. Keep doing that until they run out of trucks.

I don’t want lands that are protected for everyone to be taken over for a single persons financial gain.

The long and short of it is that it is not that easy to go overland in winter even in a desert. It’s slow. Easy enough to look for obvious routes to block.

Put up road blocks that give access to the land and check everyone going in and out of the area. Search them. TSA does it. Put them to real work. Augment them with a little National Guard. We did that after 911. And still do it today. Isolating them is child’s play.
