They’re already pretty cracked.
The problem will be getting them closer to reality.

The “terroristic threat” charge I mentioned upthread can apply to cases where fear is instilled in just one person.
And to intimidate and dissuade BLM, FWS, and other federal employees from doing their jobs. That’s their real objective: to sabotage the country’s system of public-lands stewardship.
Fine then you can live in the world you created where all opposition by violence to a government is terrorism. Personally I don’t choose to live in that world.
This is not true at all. The Bundy gang emerged from a context of widespread hostility to federal land stewardship across several western states, and have focused that on specific local people in the course of this occupation. They made people afraid to do their jobs, or to be seen in the area.
Again, this is part of a campaign of sabotage, in which personal threats and fear are deliberate weapons.
I think that the Fed, State and local LEO’s handled this just right. I suspect the Bundyits had a common phrase… “umm…what now”.
I’m also glad to see that Obama didn’t make a big deal out of this. It’s an issue that can be handled with powers already in place.
That “shining stars” declaration is striking, broadcasting the fact that they’ve become even more delusional. If they get much more pathetic I may actually begin to feel a little sorry for them.
I think they’re more just making it up as they go along.
Personally, I’d rather not call them “terrorists” just because that would give them a certain amount of seriousness they don’t deserve.
The guy said, they were four drunks.
Airlift in some booze (treated so as to slip them a mickey). Come in and collect them when they fall over.
Yeah…
sigh
*Dear FOX:
Ima just a guy at a keyboard. I promise I’ll stop my “terrorist jab” commentaries on current events that evidently are so much of a threat to the moral fiber of our country. Just send me the right tools so I can be a right thinkin’ American too.
Start me off slow… maybe with a few ARs or AKs? Build up my confidence so I can handle those loud .308s and 30-6s that you’ll send me next. I’ll try REALLY hard to learn them!
I’m hoping that with a lot of hard work I’ll be able to spin-twirl a matched set of long-barrel Kimbers to both shoot bullseyes and add roof ventilation all at the same time.
Yes, deep down I just want to be like Everybody Else in the FOX family /friends…
Your Pal,

Does anybody know what happened to Ryan Bundy’s face?
Nerve damage from an accident. Got ran over by a truck or tractor when he was young.
He was hit by a car when he was 7 and suffered nerve damage to the left side of his face.
I have to say that I’ve been pleasantly surprised not to see a single comment or meme anywhere making fun of his affliction. I don’t care what he’s done, that’s not something to mock and, at least from what I’ve seen, the internet has been remarkably, and uncharacteristically, well behaved about it.
thanks
Then, quite frankly, you are a fucking moron. You know what violent response to the government leads to? It leads to Revolution! You know why they call it “Revolution”? Because we keep going around in fucking circles.
Meet the New Boss! Same as the Old Boss!
Yeah, I would kind of like to find a way to get past that. It is making us dizzy.
I wonder if some form of incitement to riot or, at the high end, seditious conspiracy charges could stick, based in the encouragements to others to have actual violent confrontations. Count me in however for another vote for if anyone else tries this, just blockade them and starve them out.
And if *this *is the elite advance guard of the movement to take down the nefarious Federal Government through free militia action, then their cause is doomed.
Now you tell me. I thought he was being a smartass for his mugshot.
What happened to Blaine Cooper, who was supposed to be the most likely to go down in a hail of gunfire? He wasn’t one of the YeeHadists arrested with Ammon & Co, and Google is not shedding much light. Is he still holed up in the bird sanctuary?
No, “Coop” flew the coop at his earliest convenience. Which is to say, almost the moment he heard of the collaring. He had two younger-than-10-y/o daughters at the site, so he discovered prudence.
It’s a few pages upthread. Just before the “reporter” was arrested, he did a live stream where he called Blaine to inform Blaine that he should take over the movement since the Bundy’s were arrested and whatshisface killed. It’s pretty alarming although we can’t hear what Blaine said. The “reporter” tried to talk him down, wouldn’t tell anyone else in the vehicle what Blaine said, but “I gotta tell the Sherriff” and to his credit went straight to the roadblock.
One can only surmise that Blaine “vented” on the phone about going out in a blaze of glory and maybe making sure his kids were by his side. Anyway, it’s a pretty disturbing 10 minute live feed recording but obviously Blaine calmed down and fled that night with his family.
Here’s another nugget of comedy gold, an article about one of the last holdouts, the tech geek David Fry.
Some highlights
He became outraged at the tyranny of the government after they tried to fine him for smoking pot on a river and not wearing a life jacket.
One of the reasons he is still on the refuge is that he annoyed the “real” militants during the exodus and they kicked him out of the car.
