The Burning Dog Inn

I didn’t have too much trouble yesterday, just a couple of moments of lag. Except once, in Stranglethorn Vale, I had killed an Elder Mistvale Gorilla and was trying to skin him. The skinning went on and on, for about two minutes, and then I got kicked off the server. I re-logged and suddenly the un-skinned gorilla was kicking the crap out of me.

Uldaman run, 8pm server time.

I’m a little high for this but I picked up all the quests for it the other day and, besides, I love Uldaman. I’m going to be forming a group to run it around 8pm, server. Note: If you are an enchanter and need to see your artisan trainer, Annora, she’s inside this instance.

Are you aware that the server time is no longer PST? As of this morning, it’s two hours later than PST.

Weirdo.

Seriously, somebody actually LIKES Uldaman?!

Yeah, sorry, I should have clarified. Our server is supposed to be a central time server, though the time has changed back and forth between central and PST at least twice since I joined. My intention is for 8pm Central(server)/6pm PST.

I can’t help it! That Ironaya is a HOTTIE! Plus, Indiana Jones! Who doesn’t like that part? I’m hoping we get some WoW newbies in there because that’s one of the all-time greatest things in WoW, IMO.
Speaking of all-time greats. One of my favorite newer things is the Lady Sylvanas necklace quest ending. As I was queueing for BGs in UC last night someone did the turn-in and started the script. I entered the AB but the audio was the Lady Sylvanas song. It was SO cool to be slaughtering alliance to that song.

I wish I could make it to the Uldaman run, but the computer is packed (typing this on the non-WoWable laptop) and we’re heading north tomorrow. I’ll be out until Friday night at the earliest… have fun everyone!

Server strangeness just now; hope it’s not a problem tonight. I rode into town in STV and there wasn’t a single npc there, not even the mailbox. Birds flew overhead, but guild chat didn’t function either. When I tried to exit the game, it hung, and hung again trying to log in.

They’ve seriously got to fix this lag problem, especially in STV.

I’m sorry I missed the Uldaman run, I’ve been jonesing for a guild instance run. Even if it’s just WC for my priest OR Warrior.
I’ve had some good experiences with PuG’s but also some bad ones. I prefer our guild anyways.
I remember Wednesdays are a particularly heavy doper night, so maybe we can try tonight!

I’m definitely in with my pally(for tanking or healing) for WC, SFK or BFD(or Deadmines would be awesome). I just finished getting the last of my lvl 49 pvp rewards on my drood, so I’m going to put him on the shelf until more people are around that level and we can start doing Sunken Temple and Blackrock Depths runs.

Yeah, I would have liked to do Ulda, I guess I logged in too late. I’m a newbie so I’ve never done any of these instances before, so I’m always willing to tag along as a healer or DPS’er. I had fun with Rottingbird in SV, even though those trolls weren’t dropping jack for us (and I got killed twice, which almost never happens anymore).

Would you have room for a lurker?

Recently the guild I belong to on Moodguard went poof!

If yes which class(es) do you need?

Yes, of course, ExVoxMachina! Play what sounds fun to you; but if you’re a healer, you’ll probably be doubly appreciated.

Whoosh, I have returned alive, triumphant, and un-mugged from New York City and my performance at Carnegie Hall. So how’s everyone doing? (I mean other than being 20 levels above me).

Levels? You don’t need no stinkin’ levels, you just played at Carnegie Hall! Awesome!

Y’know, someday I want someone to set up the classic Carnegie Hall joke (“How do you get to Carnegie Hall?”) and have the punchline be actual street directions…

Wow! Very cool, Jragon.

I haven’t been playing my horde toon much lately. I’ve been busy in real life and have been having to devote a lot of time to my raiding character.

Can I join the guild just for the conversation? I’m not much into playing in groups, and I absolutely detest raiding with the fiery passion of a thousand suns…

ETA: Also, I level at the speed of molasses because I’m more into exploration and questing than killing.

Absolutely, Bites. I’m rarely on for more than an hour or two at a time, so I rarely run instances. For me, the guild is there for chatting and miscellaneous help. (Some quests are a lot easier with a simple two-person group.)

Edit: don’t worry about leveling speed. I’m doing all the non-dungeon quests in all the zones. While gray and green quests don’t give a lot of xp, it adds up surprisingly fast when you do all of them.

Sure Bites, the guild conversation is a big draw for me too. And it’s nice to have help with quests when you need it – Kruler and Rottingbird gave me the assists yesterday.

I really need to run an instance, it’s been a few weeks. I want to try to get one together tomorrow night. (Tonight is my wife’s birthday, so won’t be playing WoW if I know what’s good for me).

Notes

  1. This is cash transactions only. Many players have contributed items, but that’s too hard to summarize. You can examine the complete bank log at the WoW Armory.
  2. We’re all in this together. Don’t feel bad if you’ve donated less or more than others. Only about 200g more for our second bank tab!
  3. I’ve tried to link the WoW character back to the SDMB member. If you see a separate character that’s yours, be sure to make a note in the guild notes who you really are.
  4. Burningmule is my alt that liquidates surplus from the guild bank, kept separate from mine own transactions.
