I saw part 1 last night; part 2 is tonight (check your local listings). It was REALLY good - one of the best documentaries I’ve seen in a looong time. The show follows a young man seeking to become a Jewish rabbi; a woman who wants to become a Muslim cleric; a Muslim prison chaplain; an American Samoan youth minister, etc. Very interesting, and it totally drew me in.
Anyone else see it? What’d you think?
Second half wasn’t quite as good. Sorry we didn’t see any more about the Muslim woman. Still, a very good documentary. I’d be interested in seeing a five-years-later followup.
We have a backlog of independent lenses. Like, from the begining of the season. We usually record all of them and then end up only watching a couple. I caught a brief snippet of this last night but nothing else.
