We spent the day relaxing, playing Monopoly and now we’re waiting for our delivery of supper while watching Dr Who.
A satisfying start to the year.
I just want to go on record to state that I made an amazing curried lamb and spinach meal tonight: complemented by naan bread, yoghurt and red wine. Restaurant quality if I do say so myself.
God, I don’t want to go to work tomorrow!
I stayed inside today and will probably stay inside tomorrow too because it’ll be really cold (and I don’t need to go anywhere.)
At least it wasn’t as cold on new year’s eve, when I went downtown to watch the fireworks. On the 4 and a half kilometre hike to the night bus, though, my legs felt like popsicles wrapped in icicles and put in the freezer.
That sounds like a great meal! I haven’t had a decent curry in ages. Maybe I should try making my own–it seems easy enough, if you have the right ingredients.
I’ve been there, man.
And yes, better times are afoot.

As an aside - I was driving around Toronto the other day, just to look at what the ice storm wrought. The damage to the trees here is truly awful. 
Allegedly, the city lost a full 20% of its tree canopy to the storm.
I loved “Dr. Tongue’s 3-D House of Stewardesses”:
“Hi, I’m Mandy, and this is Brandy, and this is Candy, and we’re flight attendants from Flight 306…” [Paraphrased.] And all while doing the “point out the exits” kind of indicating. Hilarious!
Haven’t seen that in ages, so I’ll have to dig out my SCTV DVDs. Thanks for the reminder.
