The Celebrity Death Pool 2007

I think it is bad form but abunch a numbers purposely keeps the rules to a minimum and thats how we have to play it. I think it is bad form to pick a local radio host with cancer or the premier of East Bumfuqistan but thems the rules. Or lack of rules.

Is he sick?

I’m not giving out any secrets. Gotta think of next year.

Ohio Rep. Paul Gillmor has died at 66 of a suspected heart attack.

Continuing the Congressional theme: Charles Vanik, who represented the Cleveland area from 1955 to 1981, died last week at the age of 94. The Democrat was best known for collaborating with Washington’s Senator Henry “Scoop” Jackson on the Jackson-Vanik amendment to the Trade Reform bill of 1974. The amendment tied USA-USSR trade policy to the Soviet Union’s willingness to allow its Jewish citizens to emigrate.

Also, Jennifer Dunn of Washington has died at 66. The Republican held a suburban Seattle-Tacoma area House of Representatives seat from 1993 to 2005, and was the first female to rise to the height of vice-chairing the House Republican Conference.

Republicans are dropping like flies.

Maybe there should be a Republican Dead Pool next year.

And apparently it’s catching! My husband just called me to ask if I had Pavarotti on my list. It appears that his end is near… The call was literally “Hey honey, do you have Pavarotti?” and sadly, I knew immediately what he was referring to!

I had Pavrotti last year, I think.

This is what happens when I revoke the Gift of Life.
Though, he could pull through, and then I add him for 2008 and he lives another year until I give up and add him to the Stephen Hawking Hall of Those Who Will Never Die wall.

My question is is why aren’t my terrorist being bombed to death? Is it too much to ask that they just die and give me points?

Every year I think to myself, “Jim, you’ve got to keep a list of celebs who become critically ill this year. If they live through December, they’ll be the basis of a real killer list for next year.”

Luciano, you are on my list! May you have 4-15 months more of clinging to life.

I have him now. Neener neener boo boo.

He’s currently #4 on my next list

Conservative religious lunatic D. James Kennedy, dead at 76.

At least eight people have Pavarotti on their lists.

Ten.

sigh
One less guy to get caught up in a homosexual scandal.

He’s not in the ground yet. :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey, he was my Congressman. Not that I voted for him, but he could at least have let me know he was going to die. I need the points.

And Pavarotti’s death has now been announced.

I think Pavarotti died because across the web so many people added him to their DP2008 short list.
