The Celebrity Death Pool 2009

No, it’s Andrew Wyeth I was thinking of. I didn’t realize his paintings were so recent. Relatively speaking. Christina’s World struck me as a very old painting, but now that I’ve checked it’s only 60 years old.

John Mortimer, creator of Rumpole of the Bailey. Nobody had him.

Bad news for those of us with Steve Jobs on our lists. 20 years? Sheesh!

Patrick Swayze got out of the hospital yesterday.

Geez, it’s just one piece of bad news after another around here today.

Cheer up, he could be leaving to die peacefully at home!

Bob “Danger, Will Robinson” May age 69.

Kathleen Byron of Black Narcissus fame…

Mighty Morph-in Tony Hart … sniff

Sens. Robert Byrd and Ted Kennedy had to be removed from an inaugural luncheon for medical reasons. Kennedy appears to have suffered a significant seizure.

Either death would be a great loss to the nation on an otherwise joyous day.

The latest on CNN says that Byrd is okay, no word on Kennedy.

From that cite…

Fools go lightly where cancer experts fear to tread.

This death watch stuff makes me sick. All you people salivating over Steve Jobs.

Damn bandwagoners. I’ve had the guy on my list for 2 years.

Crap. He may have *played *the robot, but Dick Tufeld was the voice (and is on my list).

I remember Bob May going on a radio show a few years ago. The hosts were excited to have Danger Will Robinson on. It turned out even better for the audience when they found out the truth. May came across as an arrogant prick because they didn’t give him the proper respect for being the guy in the suit. He wanted to be treated like a serious actor. It seemed to never occur to him that this was radio, maybe they would be interested in the voice.
