Bummer! I heard an interview with him on NPR not too long ago. What an interesting person!
Character actor John Quade, age 71, of natural causes.
Too bad about Les Paul.
I did have him on my death pool since around 2004, though.
I just learned that furniture maker Sam Maloof died in May.
From the New York Times:

Crap.
Couldn’t afford it anyway.
I heard over the weekend Ted Kennedydied.
I’m surprised nobody else jumped on this… ![]()
Drummer Allen Shellenberger of Lit dies of brain cancer.
Nobody had him. Semi-surprising, since he was diagnosed in May 2008.
I think we have to give this one to gonzomax for his Allen Shellberger.
Woot! Busted my cherry! Finally!
22 points!
The long dry spell is over!!!
Points for me!
I’m now at an even 100!
And this time, I didn’t even like the guy.
Our long national nightmare is over!
The prince of darkness goes down! (He also used that nickname in his books)
22 points for me too, and a shot to second place!
Kim Dae-jung, who served as South Korea’s president from 1998 to 2003, has died at the age of 85. Kim won the 2000 Nobel Peace Prize after a landmark meeting earlier that year with North korean leader Kim Jong Il, but the early promise of the South Korean Kim’s “sunshine policy” has given way to the continuing reality of North Korea’s nuclear ambitions.
THANK YOU BOB NOVAK!
I broke 100!
I am in second and I had Novak too, so you will be third at best, depending on whether Captain Lance had him - I will check that out when I get home from work.
I will move up from a tie for thirteenth, to a tie for twelfth, assuming #12 didn’t also pick him.
Good times, good times, my brother!
With Jacskon and Shellenberger, I am doing well.
Outstanding!
