Was Chief Brenda Lee Johnsn’s decision to leave that confessed double homicide gang member at his house justified? Looks like season 7 sub plot is to sort it out.

Morally justified? Probably. Legally? Not in the slightest. And remember – someone alerted the gangbangers that they’d be leaving the guy off. I don’t recall who, but my wife says it was Provenza. If so, he’d be taking the fall.
Not Provenza, the other suspect was arrested and allowed phone calls. You might remember he was allowed to see T-Bone writing his confession. They “knew” that he’d clue in the other gang members.
So who’s the snitch in her department? I think Gabriel told Taylor, who told the plaintiff’s attorney (“Booger” from Revenge of the Nerds, IIRC).

Taylor is not officially part of Major Crimes and was not privvy to the conversation in the car nor Johnson’s doings at the time.
They are clearly setting up Gabriel to be the mole - there have been several of Johnson’s decisions he has been against - and the whole ‘not served’ ruse was obvious.
