Perhaps she banks with the Swiss?
I’m saving this in my “tu quoque” file for individuals claiming a lack of patriotism on the part of Democrats.

Hey, at least it isn’t Kenyan citizenship.
I didn’t want to go there. Even if we could erase the Birther nonsense (Please! Please!!!), a potential POTUS with dual citizenship raises eyebrows among us 'Merricans.
Whew, all is Right in the world again; she’s withdrawn her bid.
Back to your regularly scheduled crazy.
(Any chance of her electoral opponent using this to any advantage?)
I figure he could, but probably shouldn’t. That’s right-wing territory – “My opponent throws her allegiences to a country not as awesome as ours. What is she hiding? What if we go to war with Switzerland? Can we trust her?”
It would sound silly coming from either party.
Did she just figure out that she was born in America?
Or were those sneaky Swiss trying to secretly foist their citizenship upon her, and she just found out?
“I took this action because I want to make it perfectly clear: I was born in America and I am a proud American citizen,” Bachmann said.
???
Make it clear to who? Herself?
She took the action to not do something she was going to take the action to do to make a point?
Only in her own crazy head does this make any sense.
Maybe she’s starting a trend.
Politicians left and right will be appying for citizenship from every country on the planet; and if they’re awarded the citizenship, they’ll withdraw the request … then step up to a podium and say, “Yoink! That’s right – born in America, motherfucker.”
Right. Let me just say that my ancestors have been Yanks since before they were called Yanks, but I will gladly accept citizenship from any of many other countries around the world.
Spain, call me.
Bumping this thread:
I am disgusted by the latest to come out from her recently: Suggesting a Hillary aide might have ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, and calling for an investigation. As far as I know, no evidence has been offered to substantiate any ties other than sharing the same religious faith.

Kudos to McCain for verbally opposing this call for a witch hunt, during a speech he gave on the Senate floor.
Republicans actually seem to be piling on this one - perhaps seeking a rare chance to show how really-for-real-not-racist they are, you betcha.
I hope this is Bachmann’s ‘circling the drain’ moment.
She also got rebuffed by the Department of Homeland Security.
Her response? Double down on the crazy.
Interestingly, it’s all focused on her and the other four congress critters who sent identical letters are laying low.
I’m not sure why it would be.
The morons in her district have already sent her to Washington three times, and i don’t think she’s any crazier now than she was then. She’s just better known nationally.
She said anything about her fellow Congressgit, the Hon. Keith Ellison, the worlds only Lutheran Muslim? From my district, who I voted for, gloat, gloat, lord it over…
¬.¬
"Ellison said in a letter to Bachmann on Wednesday that her response reveals that “you fail to provide any credible evidence for your claims, engage in guilt by association, and continue to rely on discredited sources.”
“As the revered journalist Edward R. Murrow once said, ‘We must remember always that accusation is not proof, and that conviction depends upon evidence and due process of law,’” Ellison wrote. "
For her part, she’s pulling the obvious claim that her letters are being “distorted”. Well crazy bitch, when people in your own party rebuke you on the floor of the Senate, it’s really hard to pull off that claim with a straight face.
Oh, that’s right. You don’t have a straight face.
Ba dum dum, tish!!
