Yep, Metatus is back up. Haven’t seen any indications if their bot is working but maybe I’m not looking hard enough.

I’ve forwarded the information to Ed Zotti and the folks at the Chicago Reader. Until we see some of our content posted over there, there’s nothing to be done.

Hey UncleBeer, when you say there’s nothing to be done until some of the content is posted over there, do you mean content from Cecil’s columns, etc.? Because I think the thread linked above showed some specific threads that were copied over to there. Not that it matters much, I’m just curious!

Realhoops, check the dates in the linked thread. The deal was, that site was stealing our thread content as of this past August. I forget what the resolution was, but IIRC it involved thugs and kneecaps and them stopping stealing our stuff. I could be wrong about some of that.
Also, I think the thread in question has all that info.
So the issue now is they’re back, but they haven’t stolen any (of our) stuff (yet). So for now we just wait and see.
