You remember - a couple of months ago the clone board (I think someone determined that it was in Hong Kong) kept ripping off our threads and posting them under mildly changed SDMB usernames to their board. Admins said they would look into it. I was just wondering what ever happened with that.

That was metatus.com. As far as I know there was never any word on an official resolution of the matter, but their site was down for a few months. Apparently (as of this thread), the site is back up but so far hasn’t copied any of our threads.
The original thread about metatus is here (4 pages). Please refrain from bumping this thread. Please do not register or post at metatus. We do not want to start more trouble in this matter. Let the Chicago Reader legal staff do their job without interference (that’s a request of the mods, not from me personally. I’m just repeating it because I don’t want to get in trouble for sending people over to that thread).

White Lightning always has good information. I’m not sure what the CR lawyers are up to. I imagine that they bill by the hour, and thus are taking their time to build the case.
