my arteries are hardening just reading that menu
Twinks and MBG it is appropriately inappropriate to cross and and all appropriate and/or inappropriate appendages when wishing a Cool Kid good luck. Appropriate inappropriateness being one of the main rules of etiquette (or howevr it’s spelled) in the MMP, of course.
That’s not old-timer’s disease, unless 30 is old, because that happens to me, too. Sometimes I have to take notes so I remember to say all the right things.
Could’ve been the Lawn Doctor…
Urk! Please go back to the biblical channeling!
Good luck, poobear!
rigs, is your list like fcm’s “THE LIST?”
**rigs’ ** list is like KoKo’s
:d

It’s a chilly 73 degrees Amurrkin outside right now. I might need my woolies!
It’s cloudy and has been rainy all day and is gonna be rainy some more. Neighborhood grass cuttin’ kid came over when he saw me pullin’ in the driveway. He was all worried that he couldn’t get my yard mowed today cause it’s so wet. Kid thought I’d be mad. He’s a good kid. Even if he gave me a reason to be mad at him I don’t think I could cause, well, he’s such a good kid. Shoot, even if he has to wait til next week, I’ll still give him his same monthly fee. My reckonin’ is, it’ll be that much harder to cut cause it’ll have been two weeks since it was cut, better him than me, hence me comin’ off’n the wallet to pay him to do it, and well, heck, he’s such a good kid!
Shelves are scrubbed and catboxes emptied. I still need to take the trash cans to the curb for pickup tomorrow. I need to go do some beadwork, but since I moved everything to the junk room it isn’t set up, and I don’t feel like doing it. Grrr. I don’t know what is wrong with me lately - all I want to do is sleep! It is very overcast - I’m hoping for some rain. We got a good bit Tuesday but could use some more.
I’m crossing everything I can, Swampy.
It seems that there is no reference in the G&S opera about a Grand Poobah, just a plain old Poobah.
Therefore, I rule that VunderBob wins the chocolate, even if he doesn’t want it.
to quote FCM: Bite me!
Pffffffft…73 degrees is WARM, I tells ya, WARM! We water ski and wakeboard without our wetsuits.
Good luck with job description rewrite and raise. I really hope you get it!
I like free stuff. I the last month or so, I got a free entertainment center (too small for me, but I figger I can get a coupla bucks for it) a free computer desk (for the spare room so I can set up my old machine and download my photos) and today I got a free closet system, which will be great for the closet we’re going to build in the guest room. We have an electronic classified ad bulletin board thing at work that I’ve used to sell stuff, buy stuff, give stuff away, and get this free stuff! It is way cool!
After I eat some leftover sketties, I’m heading down to my studio to prep some clay for the weekend. I figure I need at least 25 lumps to be sure I don’t run out.
Other than that, it’s a gorgeous day, and the house is still open without benefit of air conditioning. Sleeping has been super wunnerful - it drops to the low 60s at night - just right for snuggling under the comforter.
Ah, bliss!!
Oh, yeah, **swampy ** - make sure you put something in your job description about coming to southern Maryland. Preferably during sailing season!!
Thanks, 99 and 44/100ths of our start-up issues are gone, now we’re back to the routine, so I should be around like usually normal. Or something.
rigs, it’s not so much a reluctance to have her here as a…nervousness having her around? Like the ultimate houseguest that disturbs the routine, you know? A fear that she’s going to leave a door open and let a cat out, or forget to turn off the stove…
Probably irrational nonsense, but still.
Tonight will be something nice though. An old friend of the family had a new junior high…sorry, middle school in our old school district named for him. It’s been open a couple wees, but tonight is the dedication ceremony. That’s actually what she came in for, and he doesn’t know she’s coming. When Duke worked for the district, my dad was the board president, and my mom was a secretary in the district office, so we all go way back with Duke. This should be a fun night.

Tigs (That’s what Ive decided on for your nick. It’s quite an honor, really. See I have these two friends who have a cat named Tigger who just lurves me. Ok, actually I am his chosen piece of furniture whenever I’m over there, but in cat reasoning I think that’s lurve. His nickname is Mr. Tigs, hence, Tigs is an honor.) I got quite a giggle out of your post about your dogs lust for whiterabbit. I’m picturing this big dog sittin’ there lookin’ at her with big eyes, tongue hangin’ out, panting and a doggy stiffy. BWAAAHAAAHAAAHAAA
Damn, you guys are going too fast for me today; I’m about two pages behind reading, so this’ll be a drive-by response. Tigs sounds great, Swampy – and you are dead-on with Isaac’s reaction to whiterabbit He just sits there panting, about an inch of tongue stuck out for maximum cuteness, and a prominent stiffy. It’s totally hilarious! In fact, PapaT and I are taking bets on just how long it will take him to get his first boner after she gets here. His money is on halfway home from the airport; I don’t think it’ll take that long.
Doggy lust, don’tcha love it?

And apparently I’ve been too busy to remember how to code properly, too. :smack:
::drives by::
I’ve actually been reading this week… I just don’t have anything interesting to post. My emails to friends and family lately have been along the lines of “Life’s good. Work’s good. That’s all.” Yes, it really is that dull.
We’re having ginger soy pork loin (our own made-up recipe!) for dinner. Is that interesting at least? I just have to figure out what to serve with it. Hmm…
Is that a challenge?
This could be fun…
