We had a great time! And for those who didn’t show: we drank your drinks, we ate your pie, we had your fun - so next time show up and eat your own damn pie (or chocolate mousee-filled chocolate teacup covered with strawberries and whipped cream and raspberry sauce) because I think I’m still full.
And for best legs at the party - we have a winner for each gender: OpalCat looked just plain gorgeous, and UncleBill looked pretty damn cute in that skirt, and he knew it, too.

Sorry I missed it as well. I was afraid I was being incredibly optimisitic when I said we’d be done with our MLK service project in time to join y’all. We worked on the house from 9:00 AM to 6:00 pm, and by the time I got home, got cleaned up and changed, it was nearly 7:00 - and frankly, I was beat! Plus, I knew I had to be back at the project the next morning at 8:00, didn’t need to be hungover.
Actually we worked on the house until 6:30 Sunday as well, then two other houses on Monday. But we pressure washed and painted the first house, plus built a new crawspace door, shored up a rotten floor joist, and replaced the screens on the front porch. We built new back stairs for the second house, and cleared a huge pile of trash from the back yard of the third house.
I have to come to work today to rest up!
Well, I wasn’t sure I’d be welcome, since this was all planned while I was a guest member and all…
…but if there is ever another Georgia Doper gathering, please let me know!
