It’s 10 days until Season 8 starts. Tick tock tick tock…
Hopefully that little old baseball series will be done in time for the tentative re-broadcast of last season’s closer on Sunday. If I miss “Requiem” on Sunday cause of the World Series, heads will roll. You’ve all been warned.
That said, I’m jittery and driving my boyfriend nuts by screaming like a teenage N’Sync fan everytime the premiere trailer airs.

Count me in…although I’m going to need to do some catching up since I seemed to have missed all the important episodes the last 2 seasons or so. Granted that’s only like 4 episodes, but damn it if I didn’t always miss the good ones. Caught every fucking rerun though. Hope I’m not too lost, seeing that finale will help.

Part of the reason I have this, twitch twitch, twitch is because I did see the finale. And what a cliffhanger it was! Mulder abducted! Scully pregnant! I can’t say I’ve been too impressed with the ads for the new season that I’ve seen, but I’m still excited about the new season simply because of that finale. Knowing this is the final season, I can’t wait to see where they take it from here . . .
The addition of the T-1000 ought to be interesting. I have a lot of faith in the writers. Hopefully they will be able to make this more palatable for the fans than one might expect.

I just can’t wait. I know a lot of fans are already gearing up to hate Robert Patrick but I’m gonna give him a chance.
This is all just too suspenseful for me. Mulder’s gone and I miss him! Everyone! Look for a tall dark handsome man last seen in the company of an alien bounty hunter!
Some very good news about his return (whenever that is) is that there is a rumored kiss that is supposed to occur when he gets back. My heart skips a beat at the thought.

Good! That means I’m not the only one. 
After the season finale announced Scully’s pregnancy, my husband and I were both like: “how did she…when did they…who is the…?” for several days. We think we figured out which episode but of course the series will probably never tell us.
I’m not ready to hate Robert Patrick but I don’t think he will be enough to keep the show alive without Mulder. The chemistry between Mulder and Scully was too important. It was one of the reasons the show has survived this long.

You see, it’s not clear who the father of Scully’s baby is since she was supposed to be infertile, remember? Some of the rumors are:
1: Mulder. They’ve been having sex offscreen and since she’s supposedly infertile (more on that later) they wouldn’t take any precautions. The hints that something was up with those two was the whole last season in general when they acted closer than they have in the past, as well as the kiss in the Millenium episode which lasted just wee bit too long. Not convinced? Well, get this: In the opening scene to “All Things”, the episode written and directed by Gillian Anderson, it opens with a bare chested (drool) Mulder in bed, and Scully getting dressed in the bathroom. At the end of the “Requiem”, before Mulder is abducted, you can see that Scully has given him her gold cross to wear, which we all know is a big deal.
2: Cigarette Smoking Man. When he took her for a ride in “En Ami”, she fell asleep in his car and woke the next morning in pajamas. Rabid fans theorize he may have then “cured” her of her infertility. Some crackpots also think he may have impregnated her at the same time, but I don’t buy it. Mass riots would ensue if it wasn’t Mulder’s lovechild.
3: Someone else we don’t know. It’s a long shot and I’m highly skeptical. Still, we can’t rule it out.
And besides being a rabid fan, I also collect Barbies. Can you guess which are some of my favorite dolls? The Scully and Mulder Barbie and Ken of course!
That’s my theory, too, and I’m sticking to it.
CSM’s baby? {shudder} Ugh, the very thought gives me the willies. If they do that, I’m boycotting the rest of the series in disgust.
I just have to state for the record that this FORMER Phile will be watching football that night instead.

I think the baby is CSM’s clone. He knew he was dying, after all. And, the X-Files not being too careful with science, everyone knows you can just whip up a clone from male cells with no lab at all.
I just can’t bring myself to believe that M&S have that kind of relationship yet. After the series is over, sure, but not yet.

As for who Scully’s baby’s father is, I hope it’s neither Mulder or CSM.
I always wanted her to get together with Lab Boy anyway.
I used to be a rabid fan. Now I am just in it for the hair dos. But I’ll be watching, just to see how Chris manages to manipulate his audience and screw up his own backstory. Besides, I want to know if there was some offscreen nookie going on.

I may watch, just so I can mock over on the #xslash channel on IRC. But you’re right…the idea of seeing how CC and co. can screw up the backstory YET again kinda amuses me.
BTW, Mulder will appear in the first episode, and in fact will confront Robert Patricks character in some way.
Is CSM really dead ? With XF ya just never know.
Truthfully I am looking more forward to the series premiere of the spin-off “The Lone Gunmen”. Those guys are great !
Because it will…they should have put the series to sleep last season. They didn’t have very many top notch episodes and Hollywood AD and X-Cops were both just huge piles of steaming crap. Amor Fati, EnAmi, and others were good, but we had to suffer through the whole Samantha ordeal again (ok she’s dead now right…it’s the X-files who knows) This series will go down as one of the greatest ever but I think this boat is going down the creek without a paddle and I will be catching ever last minute of it and then going back to watch Pusher, Paper Hearts, and others and longing for the good old days.

Really? I’m thinking dream sequence; they did that with Mulder once before a couple seasons ago.
The one character I want to see resurrected is X. He was cool.
When does the TLG spin-off launch?
Hate to say it, but they should have canned it last last season; even then it was starting to lose its edge. I’m only taping it because I’m already annoyed I missed most of season one. I hate having gaps like that.
Those two are definitely among the best. How about “Jose Chung’s ‘From Outer Space’”?
