Were they intending all along to come across as so creepy and strange that people would share the ad far and wide? Or was it just that they totally missed how it would come across to a lot of people who don’t really want to think about shagging any of the candidates?
(Yes, I know that some of the people reading this are surely sexually attracted to Obama, Romney, Ryan, and quite possibly Biden for that matter. I just am not into them myself)
I’m on limited bandwidth internet and can’t watch streaming videos. Can someone summarize, or give me a blow-by-blow (no pun intended?) of what the video entails?
It’s a young women very enthusiastically talking to the camera. She says that it’s very important who you choose for your first time, and gives lots of reasons why she chose Obama for her first time.
What a horrible video. You guys are right to pretend to outraged by it - even if it was originally only a YouTube video. I missed the “I’m Barack Obama and I endorse this ad.” Maybe you could get a sound editor guy to add that in.
I think it was way creepier when Reagan made the same joke, only referenced *painful *sex:
And, while I’m sure he didn’t mean it that way, am I the only one who hears that as an allusion to an old hetero man having his first *gay *sex? Switching teams, anyone?
The right seems to pretend to be outraged about twice as often as the left pretends to be outraged these days. That used to be a shrill liberal thing, but now seems to have been taken over by shrill conservatives. Either way, it’s tiresome.
