“Pinkies! Where the hell are you! Pay attention, dammit?”
“Hello? Pinkies? Hello?”
FTR, Pinkies was immune to Nightkill, I was a roleblocker, and either (but not both) of us could sinfect. If he had actually been playing, he could have been doing the sinfections and I could have thrown out random roleblocks to hopefully interfere with the other teams. As it was, I never got to use my power.
I did do no wrong, more or less. It wasn’t until late game that I had any genuinely scummy actions.
I have not seen too many unusual roles.
Meeko, you are quite welcome to play again and I think you would do better. I am planning a Mafia game right now, which should be on the board within the next week or so. It is less complex than this one and I think you will appreciate that.
In fact, everyone in this game is invited to the game I’m planning, which will run here. I’ll say little about it at this point, but it should be cool.
The subs were a problem but, Meeko, a large part of town’s troubles in this game were due to you. The biggest mistake other players made was not making this clear to you earlier. You really need to view this as a learning experience.
You encouraged meeko early on. Supporting the spread of chaos is scummy, and this is what initially made me suspicious of you.
This is PRECISELY my point Telcontar. I honestly and obviously didn’t know any better. My one vote should have remained muted. However, where were the people that knew better?
Allwalker : Yes, jump in here.
You were pinging me, period. You botched the claim. I obviously didn’t know a lot. AT THE TIME it was glove and hand for me.
Given all of the other discussion in this game it was one of the few choices I could have taken.
And to be clear, that last line is DRIPPING in sarcasm.
I don’t want to say too much on Peeker. I think I understand him. Somewhat.
I don’t understand everything about Peeker, I wouldn’t want to.
Peeker is the type of guy that is on the bus before I get on, we see each other daily, we know each other’s face, and we make occasional small talk. We both take the bus to the same office building, but we don’t care to learn any more about the other. When we commute back, I can only guess where his stop is.
Not quite. The objection wasn’t that Mahaloth was above suspicion (several people did in fact suspect him, for various reasons), but that you weren’t providing any reasons for suspicion in your post. Whenever you make a vote, or express suspicion of someone, you should always at least say “because of the reasons so-and-so said”, or ideally bring something new to the table. Just saying “Vote Mahaloth, and I won’t tell you why, because it’s a secret” doesn’t help anyone at all, and townies (and people wishing to appear to be townies) will rightly call you on it.
And peeker does make a certain amount of sense, once you get used to his style. He didn’t actually make as much sense this game as usual, but I think that might have been a deliberate ploy, given that he was a Scum this game.
Well… it seems that my break down cost town the game… Sorry guys.
MEEKO. You did hurt the game. Badly. I know it was your first game, but usually people playing their first game tend to keep quiet and figure out how the game is played. You tried to take the reigns and take the game in directions it wouldn’t naturally go. It didn’t help that you were also a Mason… which is an important role to town when it is placed in a game.
It wasn’t til it came down to a numbers game that I had a feeling of who the scum were. You all played well. Wish I was playing scum this game… I usually play better as scum. That said, I’ve learned a few lessons this game, and eagerly await the next.
I’m using “scum” to mean anti-town factions, collectively. You were both scum, just of different varieties.
paul, since you’re here, why did you unvote Rysto? It’s not enough to vote for a Scum (as you obviously did: I think you were the only one to see Joey P); at that stage you need to vote for the same scum as everyone else.
Joey, I hope you would be willing to sign up for another game sometime in the next week or so? I’m going to mod it; it’s my first time modding one and I’m looking forward to it.
Chronos, too, of course. I really respected your gameplay as town in this game, especially knowing you were town(I think we knew that anyway). Honestly, we probably should have NK’d you earlier. I think you played the best “town” game in this one. I hope you join the new one I’m starting up soon.
How big is it going to be and will I have to be up on my literature to understand it?
I ask since I’m in a game at Giraffe that just started two Days ago, even in the final Day of this game when nothing was going on, I found myself seriously neglecting the other game.
