Hey, can we chill a little with the generalities? I know that a few of you have taken it into mind that editing is OMG SO SCUMMY, but not all of us agree. Especially on this board, where the edit window is so very tiny. I object when things like this are posted.

We’ve had scum give themselves away before by posting something to the main board that was intended for the scum board. We’ve had scum give themselves away in previous games by saying that there’s exactly 3 scum in the game.
Scum, no matter how talented they are at this game, will sometimes slip. The no edit rule means that they can’t cover up those slips.

Now that I think about it, I should address the “spazz out” comment as well.
I’m not spazzing. I listed other reasons for my vote for peeker in addition to the edit, which was not enough on its own to merit a vote.

And I totally understand and agree. There are slips that occur but you have to take them in context to a certain extent. A newb fixing a coding error feels different than a more experienced player changing syntax. I just didn’t see the necessity of ed getting all worked up. That’s why I was screwing around. I didn’t change jack except to add that I was phuqing around. Was kind of meant as humor. The fact that I get called on it, to the extent that a vote is cast seems like a reach. That’s very weak in my opinion.
How many of those slips would have been editable under the rules this board imposes? The only one I can think of is the one Santo made early on, and he edited that post anyways regardless of the rules. Most slips are not immediately obvious as slips, and as such would not be edited since the window is so small on this board. I’m not saying allow editing willy nilly on every board in every game. I’m saying on THIS board, in THIS game, that a blanket player enforced no editing rule is stupid.

She’s not new. She’s an experienced player from Facebook who knows the consequences of editing posts. She knows why it’s not allowed, and she knows how to correct her errors without editing.
I knew she wasn’t a new player. I knew she knew why we don’t edit. She even knew not to edit. She edited and then apologized for editing. To me, that just looked like someone trying to set up a precident for editing. It was the only thing I saw on Day 1 that had potential pro-scum motivation and no pro-town motivation. Therefore it got my vote.
You may come to your own conclusions as to how you want to look at editing.

Since nobody else has counterclaimed, this seems probably true. IIRC they have not specified whether there are more of them, but I am not 100% about that.
**paul **yesterday, and Mahaloth today, have claimed that their vote was bought. Since paul is now confirmed Town, this seems to confirm the presence of a Politician. Since the Politician directed paul to cast the crucial vote which lynched a Sinner, the Politician is almost certainly not a Sinner.
