Once again Trump demonstrates his impeccable (impeachable) taste in buildings and decor.
Trump should be sued just for what he’s done to the Oval Office. A formerly impressive and beautiful room, it’s now as gaudy and tasteless as his chintzy apartment in Trump Tower. His complete lack of any sense of taste in anything is downright comical, but it’s tragic when he’s messing with historic national treasures.
You wanna talk tragic, wait until you hear about his plans for the Lincoln Memorial!
Since the demise of the penny he wants to redesign the entire thing and brand it the “Trump Unity Monument”. I promise. I have this on very good authority. (Lincoln was such a loser. He got assassinated and then removed from his only coin. The $5 bill is next. But who?)
The plaques with famous Lincoln speeches like the Gettysburg address will be replaced with excerpts from Trump’s beautiful speeches about “winning,” “making America great,” and “peace through strength.”
There will be a new towering bronze figure of Trump standing in a power pose, hand raised in a wave, hair meticulously detailed.
The reflecting pool has been transformed. Instead of reflecting water, Trump has replaced part of it with Trump-branded gold tiles, glinting in the sun.

While this pisses me off, along with tearing down the east wing of the White House to replace it with a larger-than-Costco ballroom, those can be fixed. His politicizing the DOJ, his SCOTUS appointees – with help – embracing the unitary executive and scotching stare decisis along with institutionalizing racism (again!) and wiping his ass with the Constitution in general, not so much.

Mine too (I assume from your username you’re referring to Chrissy Houlahan). In my case, Ellisa Slotkin. It’s absolutely sickening that trump can get away with saying something so outrageous and dangerous with probably no lasting repercussions to him whatsoever. Slotkin is by orders of magnitude a better and more patriotic American than the actual traitor in the White House. As, I’m sure, are the other 5 members of Congress trump has also condemned to death.

We moved to the distant suburb/agricultural town of Kennett Square, which is in Houlahan’s district, a few years ago. So I am now only a semi-PhillyGuy.
The other thing that is absurd here is that Trump didn’t need to say this. Every single person in the military from the freshest private to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs should all agree that they do not follow illegal orders. Why would they want to put anyone to death for reminding them of that?
I guess Trump is trying to say that all of his orders are legal so telling the military to disobey “illegal” ones means disobeying legal ones. But even that wouldn’t be punishable by death. If a civilian goes up to a soldier and says “you shouldn’t follow that order” and the soldier then refuses to follow the order, I’m pretty sure the military doesn’t care about the civilian’s involvement. They certainly don’t execute civilians for this.
Trump seems extra touchy lately. He needs to relax. He should just take off to a tropical island somewhere with some girls, take his mind off of things for a bit. I bet it would do him a lot of good.

The USA is in a war zone of our own making, and we don’t even realize it. Trump wants to kill members of the Congress and CIA because they did a PSA as a reminder that, “You must not follow illegal orders, and you duty is to defend the constitution”.
Every day gets more and more Orwellian.
I wondered about how to defend our family if the MAGA morons take it to the streets. They have seen everything that this administration is (racist, bigoted assholes). They applaud it.
