And as if by some act of tragic de’javue, I check the paper on my way in to work today…
“…What??? We fucking LOST!!! What the fuck happened? They probably put that dumbass Kim back in there during a crucial inning…” I scoffed to myself, not really thinking that a coach that could lead a team to a World Series would be -that- incompetant.
Guess what?!

This whole series, I keep trying to strike a deal with God. Dear God, if you just let us win this ONE World Series, I promise to forgive you for the Cardinals and for what happened to the Suns after the Playoffs against the Bulls back in the early 90’s.
In the beginning of this series, I hated the Yankees.
Now I hate our coach.
If it weren’t for an overwhelming fear of the Law that I have, I swear I’d break Kims arms myself to make sure we dont end yet ANOTHER game like we ended the last two.

Just how long have the Diamondbacks been in existence - what, three years? You are not yet entitled to being accursed, and hardly so in the case of the Suns either.
Remember, there are Red Sox fans, and (hard as it is to imagine) Cubs fans here, listening in disbelief.
And ye of little faith, ye have arguably the two best pitchers in the Series going this weekend. It could be like when the Twins won the Series with the home team winning every game. Though I wouldn’t go out and bet the farm on it happening again.
malkavia, get a grip. The last time the Cubbies won a World Series was four years before Arizona even became a state. You should be happy the D-backs are even in the Series.
(absolutely ridiculous suggestion) So why can’t we all just support two teams, the Cubs and someone with a chance of winning the World Series?
Okay, now who on earth is just happy that their team is just in the World Series? Were all the Marlins fans a few years back just happy that their team was just in the World Series? (Well maybe they were, but I kind of doubt it.)
And yes… I know… Poor Cubbies and Sox. I agree. But they’re not in the Series this year.
Believe me… I lament the failure of my Cardinals every year… but once the Superbowl hits, I try to support one of the teams who’s actually in it.
