And in the bottom of the ninth, too. How fitting. Man, what a Series!
No kidding!
That was awesome and I’m a Yankee’s fan!
Talk about simulposts! Same minute, but I got there first!
The universe’s alignment just got a little straighter.
Thuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuh Yankees lose! Thuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhu Yankees lose!
That was a nice finish. I wasn’t for either team, but it was sweet. Now, how many men were on base, and how many scored? They are still showing the crowd and no longer announcing.
WAY TO GO D-BACKS!!!
Thank you god, thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you… I take back everything I ever said about you concerning the Cardinals.
DIE YANKEES DIE!!!
WOOOOOO!!!
Man…I simulposted the exact same thing in IMHO.
Small world.
As a Red Sox fan, I consider this a victory.
Yay!
Nineiron, as a Red Sox fan, you had better take what solace you can. (I’m not a fan of any team at the moment) I still remember when Hurst retired the side to end a game with a man on 1st and 3rd and I think only one out. That had to be the best under pressure pitching I have ever seen. (1986?) Hurst had sand.
Sorry I was late to post, I was out in the street turning over cars Who’da thunk it?
Darnit, Opus1, I came online with the intention of posting the EXACT same thing! You beat me to it. Oh hell, I’m still going to say:
Yankees LOSE!!! Ahhh…what a feeling.
Now let’s see the Tribe, the Red Sox, or the Cubbies win in next year!
Jman
Yes! Screw the Yankees and Jeffrey Maier!
What, are you a Maryland fan too?
DP,
The bases were loaded when a single (IF/OF in, 1 out) brought in the winning run. The DBs had scored 1 to tie earlier in the 9th.
Grrrrrrrrrrr…
Fucking Diamondbacks.

Mark Grace is finally getting a World Series ring. He deserves it :D.
I only hope he wears his Cubs hat when he’s inducted into the Hall of Fame.
::wipes away tear::
MAN! I was pulling for the Yanks (I’m normally an O’s fan, so I really should hate 'em, but this time around I was rooting for em, go figure), but the D-backs earned it. What a game!
Thanks Lurker, I was only half watching. Back in the 70s I used to root for the Yankees against the Dodgers (being I was a Dodgers hater because I was then a Giants fan), but I find it hard to get excited about baseball except for the food at A s games.
Even though they beat my Braves, right now, I love the Diamondbacks.
