You can point me out as a skimmer as well, but when I read the title to the “new” MMP I was gobsmacked, so I came back to see what was up. It’s a little bit (sarcasm) heavy for an MMP, to say the least. I suppose we could just hijack it six ways to Sunday, as usual…
No - just wait till I post mine tomorrow. It’s a Very Special MMP! 
OK, maybe not that special, but I haven’t started one in a while, have I? Seems like forever. Anyway, just wait about 9 hours…

Anyway, you get to sleep for most of those hours, while it’s only barely going on 5:00 pm here, I have hours left to occupy my time, and a very heavy MMP to not participate in…

Hey y’all! Sorry to have been absent of late. Just wanted to check in and let you all know about the latest development in my life. The **LabRat **and I went to a Christmas party last night where I consumed a whole sixer of Woodchuck. I was nicely buzzed when we got home, and since I’ve been a little scared to utter the L-word, I figured it would be a good time to do it…and if it went badly I could blame the alcohol. 
Well, we were getting a little frisky and I said it. “I love you.” He’s not great at expressing himself either, so he said “I (buries his face in my neck) mrrrff (looks up) you too!” He mrrffs me! Yay! I’m so jazzed. It’s quite a big thing for either of us to admit.
I haven’t read the thread, but hugs and congrats to everyone as necessary!
Dunno when the night crew comes in, kai, but maybe some of them will be along soon to amuse you.
Incidentally, have you placed all the puppies? Any new pics? Puppy pics are always good.

Yeah, I finally placed the last two boys just last month, but everyone went to good homes. Little Boy lives across the drive from us, so I still see him frequently, the rest just not as often. No new pics right now, my 'puter is at the doctor’s and am using my son’s laptop. The computer doc said “motherboard”, and then “vintage” and “fried”. He apparently has a few extra “vintage” motherboards lying around, so perhaps not all is lost, but I do need to think about updating my desktop. Let me see if I can get a decent pic or three of the regulars, to be posted tomorrow with the Very Special MMP~!

I just finished the hat for SIL, except for the tassel on the top. If you could have told me that a tube 3 feet long would turn into a hat that actually fits a normal human-sized head, I never would have believed it. But it is and it does. I’m really amazed in spite of myself! It’s actually heavier than I’d expected; in the morning (when I have better light in the back room – the lighting back there sucks) I may check and see if I have any sport-weight yarn and knit another one up quick and keep this one for myself. My head lurves four layers of alpaca around my always-cold ears! Those Swedes do know something about keeping warm.
Now what unfinished project do I need to get to work on? Or do I need to knit up more baby hats for Save the Children’s “Knit One, Save One” campaign? I only have 3 weeks to finish however many I’m going to make for them since the campaign ends at the end of this month. I guess it’ll depend on whether I have the right shades of sport-weight alpaca to do another Swedish dubelmössa hat or not.
If only all the decisions in my life were this difficult.

I’m tahred, been bizzy today and will actually write about it in the new MMP when it gets posted–and right now on the Left Coast it’s minus one hour to Monday, just sayin’… I think I"m gonna wake up early, kick Himself out of bed to go to work (he has swampy’s old commute!) and then I’ma gonna snuggle back in that bed and let him deal with morning at the SmartAleq household–that’s the part he’s usually asleep for. I’m evil, but it’s justified…

National Holiday in Spain, Switzerland, Italy, France and Germany as well - probably in other countries too (originally, because it’s the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Our Lady, but in some places the name has been secularized).
