So far he has essentially recapitulated his first presentation speech in Miami. Pretty good for those who did not get to hear Saturday’s but he should bring something additional here.
He needs to move on from Virginia to what he will do elsewhere

Is Kaine going to point at - and smirk at - every single person in the room? There’s something about the guy that I simply cannot stand, and I can’t imagine him a heartbeat away from the presidency. I hope Hillary survives alive and well throughout her two terms in office.
very happy Kaine mentioned Woodrow Wilson; its a nice FU to the campus crazies who tried to erase him from Princeton; that kind of stuff is what’s driven me rightward since 2008.

Small observation: “listo/lista” though in one definition means “ready” in another common one means “street-smart” or wily or quick-witted, depending on the regional variant of Spanish you speak.

I get a kick out of having someone named “Tim” in the white house. I dunno. Ha.
True, but even when it’s used to mean “smart,” it connotively echoes the more common meaning “ready.” Like Kaine said, the common denominator is “well prepared.”
Wilson had some good ideas on foreign policy but generally he was one of our most morally awful Presidents. A hardcore racist, a eugenicist, hated our Constitution openly and became a virtual dictator during WWI. He encouraged violence against critics of the war when he wasn’t jailing them.
No one should be written out of a party, as even the worst made their important contributions, but Wilson was a bastard even by the standards of the 1910s.
By the way, anyone glimpsing at how crazy Fox News is covering this? Very select coverage of major speeches, none of the “lesser” speakers, none of the videos, wow what a (hate filled) crazy bubble!

I would hope the first time I made a speech, in a stadium or space that cavernous, I would do as well.
Having said that - Kaine looked seriously tied to the teleprompter. I would like to see how he did in a more impromptu setting. Seemed a bit stiff, not at ease in a space like that.
