The Democratic National Convention

That was one of the most powerful speeches I have ever heard.

Democrats are really playing with fire on Muslimism; its as if they’re completely not listening even to the Bill Mahers and Sam Harrises; those people are very different than the Pam Gellers and Robert Spencers, and they need to learn that.

Is that a PLEDGE PIN??? On your uniFORM???

Totally. “You [Trump] have sacrificed nothing.

Derek, WTF are you talking about? Did you even listen to what was said?

They don’t care what is said, they only care wqho is saying it.

I just wish he’d concluded that speech by saying “God bless America” in Arabic.

It was. It’s citizens like Khizr Khan I think about whenever Trump opens his nasty pie hole about what he intends to do about American Muslims. I am so pleased the convention has given them a voice to respond.

I wasn’t planning on watching on the DNC tonight but after Trump told people to boycott it I am going to watch it ! Yeah Trump got the worst rating of all GOP conventions !

It was made more powerful by the fact that he was completely unaffected, just a profoundly decent person standing up to evil.

Seriously?

Muslimism?

We aren’t.

Or rather we have listened and we have rejected it as being antithetical to what we believe is what makes this country great.

What are you talking about? What happened today, other than mentions like “God bless America”, that Maher or Harris would disapprove of?

I know. Letting them show themselves as decent, honest people who love this country and everything it stands for, who are willing to serve in our military in defense of our country and and give their lives to save their fellow soldiers. Oh yeah, YUGE mistake.

Already answered above, but again: Invest in Education and Infrastructure, taking on big national projects that states can’t do. Give tax breaks and allocate funding for Research and Development and Creative (Intellectual Property) fields.

And DerekMicheals00 “Muslimism” isn’t a word.

The difference in ratings is surprising and bad news for the GOP. It’s a big difference, too, over twenty percent from what I’ve read. Eyeballs equals convinced voters. You never look better than you do at your convention.

I wonder if this pattern is typical… If the party to go second typically draws better?

A philosophy espoused by Muslimismatisters.

Becerra’s speech would normally have been fine, but the contrast with other speaker was not particularly hard hitting.

KP seems to be having trouble with her earpiece.

…and now our marquee event for the night…

people do need to let the Muslim world know, in explicit terms of “radical Islamic terrorism” that ideas that occur under the cloak of Islam will be noted, thus giving Muslims broadly incentive to reform that.

I have no doubt that there are decent Muslims who have US citizenship. But the hijab’s widespreadness, 43% of Muslim-American women, is far more than traditional dress for Jews (6%), and similar numbers for non-Christian religions), needs to be corrected. Diversity is nice, but unity is better. Integration is a sign of patriotism.

Some believe you have to show hate for Muslims to defeat ISIS.
