Well, Hillary didn’t exactly put forward a 10 point plan. She talked in generalities, too.
Brit Hume says that she gave a good speech, yet still has the problem of having a lecturing tone like you’ve just been called into the principal’s office. I agree.
She’s seem to be in a daze for the first half of the speech. Mouthing the words that she previously memorized.
The second half had some really good moments especially when talking about Trump.
Not bad but Michelle, Barack, Biden, and her husband gave much better speeches.
Donnie asked his followers not to watch so as to drive the ratings down, so if he starts tweeting about things that were said tonight, he would show that he watched. Though he was campaigning in Iowa tonight.

Heckuva speech. If I liked her better, I might have been inspired, but maybe that isn’t her fault. Maybe. Possible.
Every convention should have beach balls. So much more fun than just balloons.

It becomes a relative thing - compared to the other guy’s simple assurance on every item that “I’ll fix that,believe me, it’ll be so great”, this looked elaborate.
I grade it B-, B-. Performance was actually better than her usual, and she made lots of good arguments, but she just can’t resist lying. We know she supports TPP, we know she won’t get tough with China(that promise has been made at every Democratic convention since 1992 when her husband first made it), and this idea that she’ll pay for all her promises without taxing average Americans more is pure fantasy. Forget Republicans, the CBO is going to kill her agenda dead.
Betting the ratings are still going to blow away the Donald’s.
He even feels the need to measure his e-peen with Nielsen ratings…guess he’s gonna come up…errm…short.

My sister, who was a Bernie supporter, said tonight that she might wind up voting for Hillary after the speech tonight.
Who the fuck is this guy, a professional killjoy? Is this like the last act in Vaudeville, deliberately bad to drive everybody out before the next revue?
Now we get to see how effective her speech was in the way that actually matters. Will she see her poll numbers improve? Trump didn’t just get a bounce. Voters actually trust him and like him more since the convention. Be interesting to see if Clinton sees a similar effect.
I thought it was a decent speech, but I like Hillary’s delivery – she tries really, really hard, even though she doesn’t have much natural oratory talent.
Good lord, Ultravires. The ball-busting wife? The mean principal who calls you in when you’re in trouble? Are there any other SCAAAARY stereotypes of powerful women you want to add to the heap? What about domineering mother? What about scolding mother-in-law? You wanna use those?
I mean, I’m not saying you’re wrong; Trump is doubtless going to play the misogyny angle for all it’s worth. But you don’t have to give him a helping hand here.
