...the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Thread.

OK. I literally squeeeed at the extended trailer.

After the crushing disappointment that was “The Name Of The Doctor”, I was ready to write off the 50th anniversary and the rest of the show as long as Moffat was showrunner. Based on the trailer, it looks like my faith just might be restored.
sniff I miss Ten and Rose.

I read a bit of an interview with Moffat the other day in which he said, “We’ve been lying to you.”

I take that as further support for my 0th Regeneration notion.

…this is a MUST WATCH MINI EPISODE. Please use spoiler boxes to talk about what just happened here to not spoil it for others.

Agreed, a total must watch.

So pleased for Paul McGann - I’m glad I was totally unspoiled (glad I hadn’t looked at twitter!) and whooped when appeared and his name came up on the opening credits

Holy crap! That is all.

Very pleased with that mini-episode, yes.

The BBC posted another sneak peek on YouTube a few days ago. Unfortunately, I’m at work, so I cannot link to it.

Then that’s a retcon, because in one of the Peter Davison episodes, The Doctor calls himself the “fourth regeneration,” meaning that Hartnell was the 0th Regeneration.

For those watching on BBC America, here’s a schedule for all this week’s Doctor Who fun:

Well, it’s moot now, anyway, after The Night of the Doctor.

Very cute short clip from Day of the Doctor, featuring Ten and a “friend.” Minor spoilers.

David Tennant has made a short clip about the special effects innovations that the 50th anniversary episode will be employing (no spoilers, or are there? ):

This isn’t official, but it is a lovely bit of animation, covering the whole 50 years:

I can’t link to it right now but there’s a new short online.

An Adventure in Space in Time is absolutely excellent, and very moving.

You are not kidding - Very good show - sad and funny and very informative.

Are you two outside the US? I know it’s on tomorrow here, but it seems other folks are getting it sooner.

Yes, I’m in the UK, watched the live broadcast.

I’m in the UK - talking about the Adventures in time and space not the 50th anniversary episode…
