(Alternate title for this thread: How Res Got His Groove Back)
Let’s see…it’s been a year and seven months since I was involved with someone, and about nine months since the last time I actually went on a date with someone. I was beginning to think I should join a monastery (and since some women have a cleric fetish, this might be an improvement).
I finally bit the bullet: I met a girl this weekend. I asked her out. I got a phone number and a date scheduled for Friday. It helped that we were flirting with each other all weekend.

Well…yes, actually…
The plan thus far: show up at her house at 7:30 and take her out for an Italian dinner. I plan to wear a nice button down shirt, some black slacks and shoes, and my cashmire jacket. (If it’s hot or she’s underdressed, I can always ditch the jacket.) After that, we’ll take a nice walk through downtown Manayunk, PA where I’ll charm her and keep an eye out for street vendors selling roses.

It’s supposed to be in the 70s-80s at night so the jacket may not be a good idea.
When you say downtown Manayunk do you mean around Main St? I’ve only been there a few times but it seemed like the only nice place in that area.
