I’m 29 years old. Yes, I know I’m getting my license late in life. It’s because when I was younger, I was busy a lot of the time and didn’t have much money for driving lessons (and our family was quite poor and my parents couldn’t pay for me.) When I finally got a bit of money, I started learning to drive. Also, around here, public transit is pretty good, so not everyone absolutely needs a car to get around.

I was going to complain about the white chocolate advocacy, but then I remembered yesterday was International Blasphemy Day, so it’s probably allowed… 
I’m debating going swimming today. I haven’t for ages, but all the local pools have school classes taking up half the pool at the moment, that or Serious Fitness ones, and I’m not that serious. Hmm.
By the way, not that anyone’ll care, but I actually managed 50+ catches juggling three clubs for the first time last night- only 5 years after I started going to that group*
*I’ve not been actually trying to juggle clubs for that length of time. I’m not quite that slow.

It’s a beautiful sunny 57 degrees this morning with a projected high of 79.
Today is pizza day and laundry day and deal with the remaining issues from yesterday day.

The problem with pets is they don’t stick around long enough.
Spaz I grew up in a different time when we couldn’t wait to get away from our parents and home, and getting a drivers license was a rite of passage and a source of pride.
Kids today are different. I was shocked at how many high school kids have their parents drive them to school. In my time we would have trudged through 6 feet of snow in howling winds and have a serial killed on our ass before we would have been ::gasp:: seen with our parents.
His generation, not so much.
Sah-son told me he doesn’t want to drive because it’s too much responsibility. He’s scared to death of having an accident. When I was his age I didn’t even think about responsibility, or at least not the way he does.
Gas was under 50 cents a gallon when I started driving. I remember when I couldn’t get $5 worth in my tank.

Sorry for the abrupt introduction and subsequent absences. Last couple a months have been stoopit busy. I’ve been training people to take calls for the ACA Marketplace. We went live today, and it’s lookin’ crazy.
I woke up way too early today, and thought to check the website. Account creation overloaded. Web chat backed up more than 30 minutes (I didn’t wait any longer). Heaven knows what kind of chaos I’m going to walk into at work today.
Oh well. Job security if more butts are needed in more seats.

Just received the “All hands on deck” email. Which means that every rep, supervisor, manager, trainer, and anyone with any inkling of the ACA is to find the nearest phone and take calls. Doesn’t matter if you’ve not taken a call in years (senior management), your butt is on the phones. Metrics can wait.
Gonna be a hell of a night. Ima try to grab a few more hours of sleep before my shift starts.

Been listening to the scanner here in Annapolis before work. The Annap PD is busy enforcing the newly upgraded Maryland laws on seat belts and cell phones as primary offenses. They have a sting somewhere in the city on a dual lane road (I think it’s Rowe Blvd) where they are calling out an offender every 15 seconds… “Blue taxi with a Blackberry, left hand!”, “Box van, no belt!” etc.
Unfortunately I also heard “Black Explorer, cell phone in right hand - oh wait, he’s sworn, nevermind!” which is to say law enforcement doesn’t have to play by the same rules, even off duty (there are very, very few Explorers in service as police vehicles around here so the officer in the Explorer was in his own car off duty).
That doth annoy.

I’ve had my lunch, haven’t done much of anything else.
I should be ashamed of myself but I feel blurfy.
I think I pissed my mother’s bf off, I don’t know if h heard me or not. I know he heard the part about people needing to mind their own business.
However, he and my mother went out to dinner and he brought home the leftover dinner rolls - as he always, and usually he forgets all about them until they mold anyway.
So he asked my mother to put them in a storage baggie, which she did and then tossed back downstairs to him.
So his mouth starts with why did she put them in a freezer bag, he asked her to put them in a storage bag, and then she goes to the cabinet and pulls out the box and says the box says storage bags, it’s not a freezer bag
WTF??!! So I asked what is the difference between a storage bag and a freezer bag (and yes I know that the freezer bags probably cost a few cents more and are probably a heavier plastic but in the overall scheme of things WHO CARES?!)
So my mother answers that one says storage on the box and the other one says freezer and I said what it is with these anal people worrying over every little thing and don’t they realize that they get on the nerves of those of us who are not so anal?
JFC on a PS, it’s a plastic baggie! Either way it will keep the damn rolls contained until they turn green.
This is why I avoid these people, they nit pick everything down to the tiniest detail.
Howdy from da cave! More <snerk> butt ‘n buns <snerk> with coleslaw for dindin. I have some chikin’ boobs 'n thighs on to boil which shall get turned into a chikin pot pie for tomorrow’s and Thursday’s dindin. YUM! I shall assemble everything but the bizkit crust tonight and tomorrow put the crust on and bake. Easy Peasy.
