I thought Sandy was going to blow me away, or drop a tree on me, or drown me. But now she’s going to eat my brains, too. AAAAIIIEEEEEEEEE!!!

I got an email statin’ that our national office, located in beautiful downtown Arlington, VA and all our northeast offices have closed and will remain closed through Wednesday. Well, duh! Why the heck did they even open at all today! Seriously. Go home and be safe.

I’m home and I just finished some leftover pizza for lunch. **FCD **is home from his Dr appt, vegging on the couch and watching TV. I didn’t stop enroute, and I don’t have cookies, but I’ll be making an apple crisp later on. And we have ice cream, so there’s that.
The rain eased a bit, but it’s starting again and the wind is starting to gust. Ziva is at the window watching the soggy outdoors. I’m sure she’s glad to be inside, altho she’s never been allowed outside, so what does she know?? Taz, on the other hand, is running around the house thundering like a herd of wildebeesties! Crazy cat!
I wish our fireplace insert was installed already - it’s just damp enough that a fire would be nice. Oh well, next week…
There’s still time to run to the sto’ for cookies. How can you remain so calm when you are clearly without one of the basic supplies needed to survive a huge storm and/or zombie apocalypse.
Why should I buy cookies? I have all the ingredients for oatmeal raisin cookies, or sugar cookies, or snickerdoodles… I laugh at store-bought cookies!!
Then get off teh intartoobZ and get busy makin’ cookies before you lose power! Need I remind you, yet again, there is a major storm and/or zombie apocalypse brewin’!

What I meant to say is that the person who I believe is the culprit just emailed me to say she doesn’t think it was her. So why couldn’t she tell me what her freaking strategy is so that I would know for sure? I just emailed her back again. :mad::mad::mad::mad:

Philadelphia area is seeing now *real & serious consequences *from the storm. Because of 24-7 “we’re in the middle of a hurricane” coverage, the regularly scheduled [del]dope[/del] soap operas have been :eek: moved to another channel :eek:
Currently windy but not raining.
Ok, group work disaster averted. I have completed my part and washed my hands of the rest of it. Now on to bigger and better things.

ETA: Apparently EVERY SINGLE THING THAT I’VE DONE has also been done by someone else (after I already did it).
So, to summarize, originally I was supposed to do the intro and the conclusion and come up with a strategy activity to talk about and demonstrate. After having already completed all of these things early (because occasionally I’m not a slacker), as of right now, someone else is now covering what was going to be the introduction. Someone else also is now describing my strategy activity. This now leaves me with leading the class in a demonstration of the strategy that someone else has described and the conclusion.
I’m so freaking glad that I got finished with all of this early so that I could still be working on it now. :smack::dubious::mad:
