I’m not planning to subscribe. I’d been away from the SD for a little while - to be honest, it was often a little slow and work was recently very hectic - anyways, I popped back today to see that in a few hours the Straightdope will change forever.
It’s sad, but I wish all the teeming millions who’ve subscribed a fast and fully searchable database.
Best of luck, it’s been good. I’ll miss you all.
If you don’t mind me hijacking your thread, I’d like to add that I’m also not subscribing. Not because I have any animosity toward the subscription system (it’ll be great for the functionality of the board) but because I just rarely have anything interesting to add. I s’pose I only posted here was because I didn’t want my last post to be something dumb in IMHO or Cafe Society.

well too bad you won’t stay on with the teeming millions but you’ve got to admit it is one of the better boards on the 'Net.
wolf, you’ll certainly get no argument from me. The SDMB is what I imagine the perfect Internet community to be. It is where I spend most of my time online and I enjoy reading it. I just don’t feel I have much to add.
