In this Craigslist ad I bid adieu to a treasured item of tremendous novelty that I’ve kept for almost two years now.
I got about two dozen reposnses, more of them entertaining rather than serious…
The winner was a nice young woman who lived only five walking minutes away from me. She also had two beautiful cats, and invited me to a get-together later on this weekend. I told her that it doesn’t matter if she throws the ball away in 2 hours or two months or two years, I just couldn’t bring myself to do it.
You didn’t give much detail in the ad. Where did you get all that foil? And how long did it take you to accumulate that much? And what got you started? And what did you like about it?
Sorry** H+R**, I’ve posted about the related ball before, but as a recap:
A roomate and I bought close to a mile’s worth of tin foil at BJ’s close to two years ago.
We proceeded to cover roomate #3’s room completely in it, just for the fug’s of it.
In cleaning up we accumulated it all into one ball.
It retained sentimental value for me of good time’s with friends… and not to mention a night I almost froze to death in the middle of an industrial park (the latter part is a story for some other time.)
