Hi, all. I got distracted yesterday by (a) working hard to try to get this last job done before leaving town, and (b) palebunny’s arrival. Which ended up being an airport run for me instead of Papa Tigs because he ended up stuck at work because the system went down. The joys of managing computer systems. :dubious:
Anyway, she has spent most of the time since her arrival with either one or two dogs gazing adoringly at her and/or leaning adoringly against her and/or thumping tails joyfully at the sight of her, etc. It’s been VERY cute.
Or being purred at by the cat. It’s safe to say that everyone is happy she’s here.
Just dipping into the thread since I don’t have time right now to catch up completely, FCM, Rusty the Idiot Golden Retriever can tell time perfectly. They get dinner at 6 pm and bedtime snack at 9 pm, and he’s very good, gives us lots of leeway; he demands dinner between 5:59 and 6:01, and bedtime snack between 8:59 and 9:01. Nice of him to allow us that extra minute on occasion, isn’t it?
What amazed me was that when the time changed, it only threw him off for exactly one day and then he was back to 5:59/8:59.
Love the mantree, canineservant!
Big car repair bills suck, Jah!
Nice new toy, Swampy! Papa Tigs is getting a laptop from work. Actually, he’s had it for a week, but it hadn’t been configured to actually use it to log into the system from home and he’d been told they’d get around to in 2-3 more weeks. (Excess security paranoia, basically.) Of course, as soon as his boss realized he’s going on vacation, that timeline got moved up, so it’s being configured as we speak just so, lucky him, he can bring it with him on vacation. So they can still chase him down. I think I’ll at least turn his cell phone off for the duration; what kind of vacation is it when they want to bug you every 5 minutes about work stuff?
That’s all the dipping in I have time for; I’ll be back later after a doctor’s appointment followed by a Trader Joe’s/Amish market/drugstore/bookstore run. Then I can catch up as I work or, more accurately, don’t work. I’m getting a bad case of the don’t wannas to day, which is BAD timing. I’ll probably manage to get it done, but apparently leaving in 24 hours isn’t sufficient pressure. It has to get down to 12 hours before I get motivated.
