Any wonder why I felt compelled to share this??

Imagine how *I * feel - I play the accordion!
Really, I do, sorta. I had lessons when I was 7. I’m nearly 53, and I still play like I did when I was 7. The only difference is I usta be flat-chested.
Hey, that’s cool. Someone gave me my rosemary bush a couple years ago, and it’s always been kinda… well, not a Christmas-tree shape. Maybe it’s a different kind of rosemary that just doesn’t grow that way. I’ll try to get pictures after the whole wedding/honeymoon thing is over and maybe I’ll post one then. It’s just too hard to try to describe how it looks. But boy, is it nice having fresh rosemary any time we want it with pork or sweet potatoes or whatever.
Because you wanted to explain the voice I keep hearing from my fridge?
Delivery man got lost. Almost here!
It’s the curse of living in a brand new subdivision in a small town. NO ONE can Mapquest you! ![]()
And nobody at said wholesaler questioned the need to break a carton of handles to sell you a presumable less-than full box of them?
Could be worse. You could have gone the other way with paperclips. Years ago, DH ordered paperclips for his office. Ten boxes of clips was the desired amount. Unfortunately, his mouse slipped as he clicked and the order went in for ten *cases * of clips. Three days later, the mailroom calls him and asks when he’s going to pick up the pallet that’s just been delivered for him.
So what’s worse? Not enough mop handles, or having to cope with a million paperclips, and the ire of a boss that’s wondering what to do with them all once it’s realized that it will cost more in freight to return them than it would to just keep them.
Could be even worse - it used to be possible to run a certain report on the mainframe here that in paper, would be shipped to you on three pallets. We know this because it was done. Once. :smack: What made that possible is the mainframe line printers are ginormous ultra high speed laser printers that look like small newspaper presses fed with rolls of two foot-wide newprint, and they run awfully close to continually as it is, so who’s going to notice anything odd until it comes out of the printer?
OOOH! A three pallet report. Read this and get back to me. ![]()
Ok, now, who wants to play the accordian?
Supper is et. A much shorter snuggle that I desired was had. ![]()
I hear a beerverage calling.
I blame Rigs for this, after dreaming of nipple clamps…
Pffft - I was telling that joke years ago - she didn’t even remind me of it! Actually, I was talking to a friend at work whose wife happens to play. One thing led to another…
Is it sad that it took me till just now to get the joke?
Hugs to both Taters and Puggy and their families. I’ve been thinking a lot about both of you. One of my close friends is going through something similar with her mother (Alzheimer’s and pneumonia, in her case); it’s heartbreaking.
Welcome back, Boo. Pretty tree, Rebo.
I’ve just read through everything, but I’m tired and my brain was melted by work, so I don’t have a lot to say.
I’ll come back later once everything’s sunk in.
Off to continue the holiday decorating binge.

BRRRRRRRR! I’m tired of winter already and it’s not even officially winter yet. Just thought I’d share.
I’m home, finally.
Today was not a productive day. I spent most of the day farting around with MapPoint and thought I finally had it. Then I QA’d the data and it wasn’t showing right, so back to square one. Grrrrrr. The “tutorial” sucks. There aren’t any books, that I can find anyway. I need a book for the 2006 version. More grrrrr.
I’ll have to start dinner soon. I’m thinking chili-mac. I’ll be cheating on the chili part; it’s canned Stagg chili, but it’ll do. The rest I’ll do from scratch.
I’ll add my own meat, seasonings, sauce, etc.
Nothing else too exciting going on. My son is crashed out in the great room. He must be pretty tired. My daughter is hiding in her room, again. I don’t see her except for when she comes down to get something to eat or drink.
I feel I’ve actually helped quash some ignorance. A friend who tends to send glurgy crap way too often just sent out something and she included a snopes cite backing up what she sent. Woo and hoo! We’ll educate them one at a time!
It’s a miracle! Yay for snopes. I’m very impolite about snopesing people when they send me glurge. There are people at work who will periodically distribute stuff that is inevitably found in their top 25 list. The other day, someone (besides me) tacked up the correct info from snopes…
Sounds like the software adventures are no fun, Taters. I hate it when stuff won’t let you figure it out.
Tree is mostly decorated (you’d think it was big) and I’ve sent an e-mail I needed to remember to send out. Such accomplishments.

Real quick drive-by here. Haven’t had a chance to read the rest of the MMP yet and probably won’t until maybe Saturday. Semester projects due in both of my classes this week (including the presentation of my senior project, which I am going to miss because my company needs me to attend this all-hands meeting that has nothing to do with me what-so-ever  ). On top of that Charter (whom I would be pitting right about now if I had the time) still has not restored our internet which has now been out for over four days. Perfect timing really, as I need the internet to work on all of those afore mentioned projects that are due this week, GAH! I am sitting in my favorite coffee shop at the moment (which is where I am spending almost all my time as they have internet).
I’m a serial Snopes’er too. You can almost see the cringing in the e-mails my mom forwards me anymore, she just KNOWS she’s going to get a Snopes in the reply.
So, when will those ornaments be ripe enough to pick? ![]()
(I was mistaken - he’s friend’s cousin, not her brother, which is good, because I remembered some not so nice stuff she’d said about her brother)
Friend calls me and says there is “blue” access (at the concert this Saturday), so I said, sure I’ll go. Then about an hour later, he calls to tell me how happy he is that I’ll be joining them, and that next week he wants to take me to dinner. I am happy but I anxious. I’m not seeing him til Saturday and I have butterflies already!
Woo hoo, rosie! That sounds like fun. Yay for possibilities!

Dinner was fun - I love the garlic cheese biscuits at Red Lobster. We had 5 players and their sponsor families and a good time was had by all. My player puts ketchup on mashed potatoes. Yuck. But it was a lot of fun.
I am tired of cold. And Connor showed up at Red Lobster in shorts. And flip flops. I wonder about that boy’s sanity.
I need to go work on the jewelry I am going to send to my Secret Santa. Along with other stuff, of course!
w00t, rosie!
I just got back from dance class. I did Intermediate 2 and Advanced. In the first, we did a type of up on one leg shimmy that I’d never seen before, and then did walking maya with continuous shimmy, which is hard layering. We finished with assaya- dancing with…
Pause for Intermission- Mr. Lissar just threw up on the floor next to me. I kid you not
Well, that was gross. He was taking vitamin pills, and remarking to me that they made him gag, and then he vomited all over the floor. That was a bonding experience and a half. I’m trying not to feel sick.
Anyway, cane dancing. With canes. And then in the next class we did a type of backward side hip accent I’d never seen before, and a bunch of turning with arabesques, and then drum solos. It was fun.
I’m going to lie down. He is henceforth always taking his pills in the bathroom, which doesn’t have hardword floors.
