The one thing I like about the books is how he is portrayed through the narratives that are from Miller’s point of view. I think my opinion of Holden is very much the same as how Miller saw him. That’s not to say that Miller didn’t “like” him, but he saw the real world with all of it’s ugliness and how Holden just did not understand how his ideals and decisions were so naive and what it really cost in terms of repercussions at the human level.
One thing I like is how the credit sequences change to reflect the plot. Early on, Mars is shown with two moons. Later, with one moon and a string of rubble. Early on, they show Tycho Station and the Nauvoo. Later, just Tycho Station.
And in the last shot, of the planets lining up and being eclipsed, it looks like the briefest glimpse of the protomolecule above the surface of the closest planet.
Just finished this show. Excellent stuff! Anyone else think that the credits were done by the same person as the ones for Man in the High Castle? We sing Edelweiss every time we start a new Expanse episode.
