Basically, he’s got a bug up his butt about “car clamps” (called “booting” here in the States). When your vehicle is immobilized due to illegal parking, he will come and saw off the anchoring device, free of charge. And he dresses in blue tights with shiny gold accountrements while he does it.

Why don’t we have amusing wingnuts like this in the U.S.? Seems like our wackos are mostly obsessed with blowing up clinics and getting the fluoride out of the water. And they don’t even dress in tights.
He was on GMTV this morning and they had this guy on from the AA who was trying to be all stern and saying he was carrying out an illegal act, by tampering with the clamps. I thought it was very amusing, to see this solid upright citizen and voice of the Automibile Association, trying to talk sensibly to Angle Grinder Man, sitting as he was, wearing his tights and mask - a self confessed latter day Zorro, fighting the cause of the common man by carving up the wheel clamps in less than two minutes with a flash of his mighty gold painted angle grinder.
I bet he is a Doper and if he isn’t, he should be
The blonde one - whatshername- Fiona Phillips - was very pro Angle Grinder Man, so she must be a bit of an errant parker!
Eamonn, of course, sat there and twinkled, in his usual smirky fashion.
