Well, I just wanted to say I’m sorry I didn’t make it.
A friend whose wedding I stood in last August called me Thursday evening and told me they were having everyone over to watch the Wedding video, and that this was our last opportunity to order wedding photos. I had hoped to get free from there around 10:30 and show up late for the Dopefest. Unfortunately the evening was more elaborate than I knew and they took time to plan some things. I couldn’t get away as I hoped, and just left the party at 1 AM.
Sadly this cost me the Dopefest since it was held downtown, and I was out on the westside. Hope everyone had fun without me, and I want to hear all the juicy staries.

Omni, you missed the World’s Largest Bottle of Champagne, the coolest waitress in the world, and android dancing on tables to the strummings of a prepubescent cover band - I’ve drunk liquor older than they were. On the upside, no one drew on anyone else with permanent marker and no sex toys were brandished.

Survived, and sleepy (again).
I’m home, safe and sound. My flight was delayed by two hours, which sucked. Sitting in the airport when you’re tired, hungover, cold and hungry just isn’t my idea of a good time.
I got my pictures back. There are some great shots - Andy dancing on the table, me and Marlene (the waitress), various small groups of Dopers, MikeG taking a little nap, and one with the boy band in the background and the Enormo Bottle of Champagne/makeshift shrine in the center. I’ll let you guys know when they are scanned in, and maybe someone can put them up on a page.
mag, everyone who had any of the champagne has now drunk alcohol older than the band was…
chique, you still owe me a beer.
and, yeah, I guess I should have been more specific than “big, geeky-looking guy”…something like “big, geeky looking guy who was the only one actually at the bar by 7”
and, andy, you should have stayed a bit longer. our heroes in the cover band played “What’s My Age Again”, just after you left.

Driving from Chicago to St. Cloud with a hangover was NOT the best move I could’ve made, but I made it

I had a great time of course, even though I sort of slept through part of it. Somebody had to since Jophiel didn’t make it. Damn that tequila. I didn’t even feel the first few shots (due to the stomach full of spicey Thai noodles… Yummmmmm), but then the shots decided to hit all at once. Yow!
Finally made it to a computer to check in. It was great meeting you all, but it’s going to take me a bit to recover. Where’s those pics???

Anyone got a used hd lying about they don’t need? I can’t access my home email (should get through this morning after I work on the office firewall), or go to chat to combat all the malicious rumours I’m sure are being started about me!
No computer at home really sucks!!
The papers are of dubious quality as they don’t scan very well but I may do a transcript of selected parts

I dropped my film off today. Instead of going through the hassle of scanning 27 pics from prints, I just told them to give me a CD with the images. Only problem is, it will take at least a week to get it back. But it would take me forever to get around scan 'em all anyway…
I have to get my film developed, but give me a coupla days.
Mike, I might have a HD for you if you’re still looking for one.
As it turns out, my GF did show up about 10 p.m., but she didn’t look for us back by the band because she couldn’t believe we would be back with all that noise.
No hangover for me, but then again I was sober by the time I got home.
