"The Flash" movie breaks record for a DCEU test screening

According to World of Reel the upcoming Flash movie had the highest score of any test screening of a DCEU movie on 8/11.

One reviewer called it "Humorous, thrilling and emotional.”

So it looks like Warners has a hit on its hands despite all of the delays and star Ezra Miller’s shenanigans.

They’re accused of a bit more than “shenanigans.” Some very troubling behavior, and the studio is hoping the movie and a hollow apology sweeps it under the rug.

They CGId Christopher Reeve? That’s enough to make me not want to watch the movie.

Why in the world would they ever do that??? That’s crazy.

Best score of a DCEU movie is a pretty low bar to jump.

Well, his agent hasn’t been taking their calls, for starters.

Nah, according to World of Reel they were told the film had ”the highest score” etc.

And that quote from “one reviewer” sounds like the most generic snippet of praise to ever appear on a movie ad.

“Anyone claiming this movie is humorous, thrilling and emotional ought to be publicly horsewhipped.”

I know the actor has a ton of personal issues but I loved Ezra Miller as the Flash in every movie he has been in and have been looking forward to this for a long time (it was pointed out recently that this movie was first announced around the time the Flash TV show premiered and that show is now about to have it 9th and final season so yeah it’s been a while).

Jump, hell. That’s a “crawl over.”

Best DCEU movie is a high bar. Average DCEU movie is as low as it can be.

Nah. WW fell apart in Act 3. Up until then you had a very valid point.

One word: “multiverse”.

They could have Supermen and Batmen from a number of different productions. Michael Keaton, Ben Affleck and George Clooney could all be Batman.

Think of the appearance of “the Illuminati” in Dr. Strange 2 as an example. Little more than cameos.

Yeah, I mean the latest Suicide Squad movie was good and I liked the Harlequin movie they had about a year or two ago.

If it is better than those, should be neat. Not sure how interested I am in Ezra Miller, though.

I thought the Suicide Squad remake was a B-/C+ movie. I think Wonder Woman is the clear DCEU best movie, and while I agree that the third act is weak, it’s still a good movie. IMO the only DCEU movie I would say is good while it would be middle of the pack for MCU.

Shazam, though uneven, was surprisingly enjoyable.

I loved Shazam. A lot of “What if this actually happened?” moments. Like if a kid actually gained super powers there’d be a lot of "Okay, can I do this?", and the scene where they he first meets bad guys and stops them from robbing a convenience store: “Hey, girls, I have super powers! Woooo!”

And they lampshaded a scene that’s always bugged me in movies: Super Hero and Super Villain floating above the city, 200 yards apart. Villain begins to taunt hero, and… “What? I’m sorry, I can’t hear you. At all! You’re like a couple of football fields away. What?”

.

PS: I first saw Ezra Miller in the Flash crossover. He did “confused” very well:

“A source deep inside…” Sure. Ok. I believe you.

World of Reel? More like World of Really?
