This is one reason why it’s bad policy to answer rules questions in the game thread.

Okay, I know I’m going to take a lot of flak for this, but I refuse to handshake. I know it’s technically not against the rules, but I feel that it completely violates the spirit of the game and I refuse to get involved in it. As evidence that I am not just makeing up this position because I am scum, I point to the game I linked to earlier, in which I state the exact same thing. Also, in the first game I modded, I held a similar position, threatening to modkill Rysto if he was to attempt a handshake.

If moderators want to avoid handshaking then they should have open rules sets. Or least make public any repeated PM content. Otherwise you’re forced to engage in increasing absurd post restrictions. (I am biased about this–I probably dislike post restrictions as much as ped dislikes handshaking.)
