I took my cards to the P.Off. today, and when I got home, there were four cards in my mailbox. Getting them made me feel happy like a kid.
Today I went to the post office to get stamps for my one Canadian and one foreign stamp. The lady there informed me that if the post card was over 4 1/4" x 6" that it would require the same postage as a letter.
Of course, mine were the bigger ones. So, I panicked for about 10 seconds wondering what they’ll do with the 14 U.S. addressed cards I sent out with not enough postage.
She assured me they wouldn’t toss them. With no return address, they can’t return them to me for additional postage.
Ummm, so, some of you might get a card from me with 14 cents postage due. I’m very sorry. Let me know what happens with that postage due thing.
Don’t worry Ravenous Lady . I received my Florida Manatee card today. It came through just fine. Thank you I liked it. I also received a post card from libwen featuring Wharton Center For Performing Arts and one from Ponster with a illustration by Derek Horton Child Of The Universe. I thought they were all real neat and it was nice not getting a bill in the mail. I wasn’t as good as you all were with writing and stuff. So I hope noone is unhappy with the ones I sent.
I will take the 5th list mistee. Just e-mail it.

Glad you got them, Archergal and misstee! Just so’s you know, I sat down and wrote them about halfway through a really great day, too.

I sent mine out today. Everyone is getting the exact same postcard. I really had nothing to say, so I just wrote “Chicago Faucet” in the text half. I also used a Sharpie to write them out, so the text is pretty big for a postcard. I also did not include the person’s IRL name, unless the address was some sort of general box.
Note for future postcard exchanges: From the US, sending a postcard to Canada or Mexico costs .50. Everywhere else, it is .70.
