I had to read that a few times. I had to say it aloud.
My god - that’s horrible.
That’s the most worse grammar I’ve ever saw.
It does lack…panache.
It’s the same network that coined “Tot Mom” to refer to that Anthony woman, and that had this blurb – “Remains May Be Those of Tot” – when the body of a child was discovered.
“Me fail English? That’s unpossible!”
Well, I for one am tired of getting merely average news, or even good news. It’s about time they started giving us great news.

My guess is that the phrase started out as “More [something] than any other network”, then somebody changed the first part to “The greatest news” and neglected to change the rest of the sentence to fit.
But what the hell does “the greatest news” mean? Were they going for “The greatest news reporting?”
Some of us have a way with words.
Others just, not have way, I guess.
Cite? I just did a Google string search on “the greatest news than any other network” and got zero hits.
No link, because it’s an on-air spot. It refers specifically to election coverage, then generalizes from there.
More betterer news is doubleplus good.
